How much demand is there for a book or series of books based around darth zannah and her apprentice? I am very interested in reading her story. I'm not even done with the Darth Bane books yet and am already excited to continue her story.

I'm interested in seeing more of her story. I haven't heard anu news on if there will be a novel, let alone a series about her.

I have no way to gauge overall interest, but I can tell you that I would be interested. I think the Bane books set Zannah up nicely and I would love to see how she relates to Cognus. In addition, I wouldn't mind seeing Zannah get a trilogy, Cognus, and the other known Sith Lords leading up to Palpatine. Perhaps have different authors come in and do each trilogy or solo books featuring the Sith.

I would love for one to be made. Sue, back in, I think January, said that they had not talked about weather or not there'd be one.

I'm hoping there will be- the other day, the author of the Darth Bane series, Drew Karpushyn, said in the next couple weeks he'd have some Star Wars news- I'm hoping that's it.

A book with Zannah and Cognus would please me.

A book with Cognus and Millennial and the Prophets of the Dark Side would please me even more, but I'm happy to get the Zannah/Cognus duo first.

With TOR related novels about Sith Lords from that era though, I'm growing unsure of whether to expect more in other eras at the moment, though.

I'm not to interested because we got the gist of her story, she just trains the next apprentice.

We should have a duology of novels covering each generation of the Banite Sith.

More Sith is always the answer. And it would keep the EU busy for quite some time.

It would also make so much easier character power level comparisons, which will greatly enrich discussion here.

I'm hoping they continue to do a series on the Sith throughout the thousand years leading up to Sidious and Vader. I loved the first two Bane books (still need to read the third) and it helped a lot in my understanding of the background of the Republic, the Jedi, the Force, etc. I would especially like a book on Sidious' master, since there seems to be a lot of debate surrounding him.

Speaking of "ancient" SW history, how about a bio of Yoda? Do you think he will play a part in other Sith stories as we get closer to the film timeline?

I guess no, since every Jedi who knows of any Sith since Darth Bane needs to die.

This is true, but he also needs to find out about the tule of Two, since he says in TPM

Yet the last time the Jedi see the Sith, it was a brotherhood of thousands...

    It's already taken care of.

    Though, considering the overt reference in the RotS novel to the "fall of Darth Bane" I had hoped that he and Zannah would be discovered and the Jedi would believe themselves (incorrectly) to have wiped out his RoT order, as well. The idea of the Sith wanting revenge for the death of the Sith'ari sits much better with me than them wanting revenge for... what? Darth Bane wiping out the other Sith at Ruusan? 8-}

I always thought that their "revenge" thing goes much farther back to when the Republic drove the first Dark Jedi out.

Wasn't the idea in RoT that they thought they'd killed Darth Bane when they killed Darovit?

    It could, I guess. Though I don't think that's what's implied.

Possibly. I can't remember how much of that speculation and how much fact. Did they ever refer to Darovit as Bane? I forget.

I don't think they did, though I think I remember the basic assumption was because they talk about defeating Darth Bane in... was it the TPM novel?... that they probably just one day found out the name of the Sith who'd slaughtered his own people, and so just joined the dots. "Oh, hey, one last Sith Lord... that must have been the one we killed on Ambria, then?"

Yes - though they didn't know it was Bane, IIRC, just the last Sith

I suppose the retcon makes sense about Yoda/Jedi knowing the Rule of Two

Mace Windu says "Ever since the fall of Darth Bane over a thousand years ago..." in the RotS novel. Which is inaccurate in itself, given the timeframe, but whatever.

The whole thing with Darovit being mistaken for the Sith Lord -- especially in the dribbling vegetable state he was in -- doesn't sit that well with me, though. I mean, it would have been one thing if Zannah had used him as a marionette (as well as channelling her powers through him once more, as when she was a child) and used him to attack the Jedi, putting on a good show or something... but as things stand? It was all handwaved very conveniently by the Jedi.

"Oh, well the dude was obviously a wreck because he tried to heal himself with the dark side... and even though he's too young to have been a Sith Lord without someone training him... Ah, screw it, our work here is done. To the Jedimobile, away!"
