Dash Rendar's Blaster

Anyone know the make and model of it?

 

I don't know, but Hero's Trial said Solo still had his old BlasTech DL-44.

So I'm wondering, how did he retain it after every hostile imprisonment and capture in 30yrs?

 

Well, despite that not helping me any, that was still an interesting tidbit

 

There's a pic of it in the NEGTC but I can't match it with anything in New Essential Guide to Weapons & Technology. Nor does the NEGTC entry say what it is.

 

I remember loosing the blaster that came with my Dash Rendar action figure somewhere in the couch...one of the only weapons/accessories I have ever lost.

 

Depends on the source. In the Shadows video game, he uses a modified DL-44 with an auto-charger (perhaps taken from a Clone Commado blaster...) that could be modified to use different ammuniton types (blaster, stun shot, seeker missiles, pulse blaster, flamethrower, disruptor.) The action figure does have an interesting looking blaster and a heavy weapons pack, but I don't know their names. I think that the card series might have the blaster on the action figure; I'm not sure about the CCG. IIRC, the comic also showed a different blaster of Dash's.

We have no designation for any of those, however.

 

Heroe's trial also tried to replace Chewie with Droma... uck.

Ah, Dash Rendar's blaster... Anyone remember mowing down hordes hordes of Stormtroopers, probe droids, and the occaisonal Wampa in SOTE for the N64?

Droma's blaster is quite interesting. It seems to be discharging blue steam on the AOC cover.

A bit off-topic, I suppose, but what about heer Skywalker? Does he still have the same lightsaber that he fought with in Shadows of the Empire and Return of the Jedi?

Yup. That's the blaster I lost in the couch. I tried to find it, but never did and we got rid of the couch a few months later. It also consumed Bossk's blaster.

 

The blaster that he uses in SotE is different to that.

I checked last night in the SotE (N64) instruction manual, which just refers to it as 'Blaster'. However, the PC version's instruction maual is more in depth, so you might have better luck there.

I did some research into this a while back, and the name DL-57 keeps ringing a bell. I think I matched up pictures between the two sources.

I'll look into it a little further this evening.
