At Comic-Con, it was revealed that the Rakata will use Flesh Raiders in their army.

And that Del Rey truly does not care about their cover to their books.

I'm willing to bet right now that the "Flesh Raiders" are the Rakata based upon what we've seen thus far, and the Force Wars arc will explain that the Flesh Raiders in TOR are descendants of the Rakata invasion force.

Or maybe the Rakata turned their own soldiers into Flesh Raiders in order to destroy all life in the Tython system.

The Rakata as seen thus far in Dawn of the Jedi seem to view dining upon their enemies and the conquered as a privilege so it seems likely to me that they are the Flesh Raiders and they wouldn't let a "mindless" slave race deny them their meals in invading Tython.

There's only one flaw with this solicit, to compete with Legacy #9 and Star Wars #11 they need a stronger cover artist!

    Reminds me of TotJ.

Now all it needs is the matching internal art.

I've always wished that they would revive Tales of the Jedi in this arc format as an anthology series that jumps around the timeline with each arc. I suppose that DOTJ is the closest we will get to that.

No, the art and coloring must be like the new star wars ongoing. Not retread to light colors. Keep it consistent with the other two Dawn of Jedi series. Also, what are the chances that we see different coloirs of forcesabers

Good question. Not sure how reliable TOTJ art is, but Exar Kun has a blue saber in "The Sith War".
This so much. TOTJ always felt incomplete to me. There's a thousand-year gap that needs to be filled in.

Yeah, ok cover image, but don't care about Xesh that much, and honestly tired of laser swords on covers by now. So sounds like they've started mass-producing Forcesabers and have let Daegon out of his prison, both sound like desperate actions (especially considering what's required to use a Forcesaber). Should be pretty epic, wondre how much of a time skip it'll be (a few weeks, or longer, who knows).

Few more thoughts about the cover. Does anyone think Xesh looks a few years older? Is there a time jump or is it just the artwork? And does anyone get a Wuxia feel from the cover? The posted TOTJ cover has a Frank Frazetta vibe.

If the Je'daii are going to be armed with forcesabers, I think it raises the question I asked in the tech thread about why the Jen'jidai are armed with lightsabers requiring external power packs when the Je'daii had ostensibly superior forcesabers. Yes, they require the wielder to be shifted toward the dark side, but I would think this is a function of the crystal in the same sense that a lightsaber using a Solari crystal will shut off if the user is not shifted toward the light side, as seen in "Light and Shadows."

I think they should just allow for lightsabers or forcesabers to be concurrent with the entirety of Jedi history and explain the power corded ones as a product of a dark age or some some brief period of time where the Jedi abandoned lightsabers due to a brief flirtation with pacifism or something along those lines.

Considering that the Jen'jidai are themselves darksiders, the dark side requirements of forcesabers wouldn't be of any concern to them.
