Lee didn't create Big Hero 6 and he was in that aswell. BFD.

This movie looks great and all, but so did Green Lantern along with the hype surrounding that movie was pretty good.

Lee didn't create Cap, but he was an early writer as far back as the third issue. And he was the writer on Cap's brief revival in the 50's and then his return in the Avengers comics in the 60's.

 

Plus Stan Lee is considered the Walt Disney of Marvel Comics. He may not have created every character, but he gets the credit for building up the Marvel company to the brand that it is.

 

Sure, okay, fine, I'm quibbling. I dislike the illusion it represents -- that Lee had a hand in creating these characters -- but I realize I'm in a minority in this, so there's no use complaining about it here.

 

Lee created certain characters, just as Simon and Kirby had a hand in creating others. And it was Lee and Kirby who came up with Cap being frozen for a number of years, before being found and thawed out. Simon had already stopped writing Cap's adventures well before then.

 

Sure, I know. And maybe this is better fodder for a different thread, but I tend to take Jack's side in the history of Marvel comics, which downgrades Lee's contributions to almost zero.

 

Honestly, no it didn't. The first trailer was met by many with skepticism. By the second the effects looked better, but the story was still not impressive. Then it got panned by critics and fans. Visually, Deadpool looks far better but it's also not going cosmic. There is definitely room for concern of course. Most of the scenes we've seen now take place on the highway. We really haven't seen much outside of that unless you count his origin. But then again, this is only a teaser so who knows what the full trailer will look like in a few months.

 

lol. Can't wait to see this bad boy in theatres next year. It'll be the only fox film I'll see.

 

Ditto on this being the sole Fox film I'll see next year. Looks like great fun.

 

I'm going to see all of them.
