    I haven't actually seen them in local bookstores, so I'm no help. The attraction of the old ones back in the '90s was that Boba Fett was in them. (And my game usually ended by him killing me in one way or another). So I probably won't be getting these.

    I got both over Amazon.uk, the extra content is rather cool. But, to be honest, Tethan Battle Adventures is a massive drag, that I don't really have finished yet (I always make a little map and choose all the options on multiple playthroughs). What I did so far was nice, but some things were just too MUCH.

    Like Asajj brainwashing clone troopers and your character motivating them to snap out by appealing to the Mandalorian Code which is "Loyalty to all that is good". I had a wallbanger moment there.

    The only unambigously fun thing so far was meeting a relative of Lando Calrissian. Who was pretty much the same kind of scoundrel as his nephew or whatever.

    Wow, really? What is this character's name? Who wrote Tethan Battle Adventure? Is it set during The Clone Wars movie?

    His name is Raan Calrissian.

    TalonCard, you definitely need to read this book. It has Janu Godalhi suspecting that the Separatists are planning to build a superweapon capable of destroying entire planets! And yes, the book is set during the TCW film.

    Reading further, I see there's a mention of what I think is a new spacecraft, called a Credaan Spacer.

    Also, relating to my previous post in this thread, one of the sets of paths through the book allows the main character to find plans for the moon-sized superweapon capable of destroying planets and then report all of this to Obi-Wan. Maybe this explains why he was able to leap to the conclusion that "That's no moon; it's a space station." [face_thinking]

    That's the thing about Death Star plan theft stories...you never know when a new one is going to come out and bite you in the nether regions. It's annoying, to be sure, but the surprise is almost worth it... :p

    I would like to believe, in the far future, the Death Star plans would make a nice set of collectables to have one's mantlepiece.

    I recently finally found time to try and read all Choose your Destiney Clone Wars books and found the Death Star Plan parts of TETHAN BATTLE ADVENTURE very interesting.

    But first:
    These books are great filled with a lot of EU incorporated. Though some things made me wonder:
    -A Terentatek alive in the Kashyyyk Shadowlands in WAY OF THE JEDI? Seems the Great Hunt before KOTOR was not very thorough
    -Monsters that can not only dampen the Force kinda like Ysalamiri but the same effect also shorts out lightsabers without any physical contact? very weird and NEW, possibly an error but important to the story.

    well back on topic:

    The Teth B'omar Monk Monastery is a Smuggler Hideout used by the Separatists. Its computers have Death Star plan shematics firing and destroying a planet in a computer simulation. Your character finds it, but the computer malfunctions and so you cannot get anything else. You report it to Obi Wan who is interested but can't really do anything about it except keeping it in his mind.
    Janhu Godalhi confirms he heard rumors of the Seps building a superweapon and he knows seppies are contracting this project out to different suppliers so that none of them has a complete set of plans, just their relevant part of them :)p loved that... explains a lot). quote: "That way plans are safe from operators who would consider selling the secret. The republic would pay a lot to know what the separatists are up to." Then he talks about the Separatists funding the construction while the war already costs them a lot. "Private Individuals are willing to contribute (THAT shocked me! and what comes even more:) If the separatists win the war there will be new trade talks and the Banking clan offers immunity from prosecution. then he names an investor: JABBA THE HUTT (you heard right.. he funded the Death Star partially!!!). Jabba plays both sides, Separatist with funding the DS project and the republic with his trade routes he controls.

    Well all that was just 1 page of the book... discuss!

    PS: TalonCard, what do you think about this? Book is set during the TCW Movie which is maybe only weeks after AOTC. Can we assume the DS Plans Dooku got from Geonosians went via Dooku to Sidious and back to Teth? Then they move elsewhere? How about the Republic building it in ROTS, and the Separatist superweapon under construction rumors shortly before ROTS in the EU and Hyperspace only comic strips that featured the separatist council talk about it?

    started a Death Star Plan topic about this very post, please discuss this there and the other book related stuff here.

    What? The US versions don't have the web enhancement? There's entire paths in Way of the Jedi that are set up by this, though you can find them if you are cluey enough.

    in my UK version when you can go online... there sometimes is a page number in case you cannot go online. Though not always but sometimes the pagenumber contained NOT the same events as the online enhancement would have. Even in 2 occasions the pagenumber was missing and you had to go online to go on or chose the other option without going online.

    I played all possible variants through and now finally have all the storylines. And that are quite a lot for these books. countless different deaths, endings that are so different, the course separated from the other very very early, kinda like a separate book at times. Once I even nearly moved in circles.

    the Death Star relevant stuff does only occur in some storylines, not all. And it depends, either you tell Padmé or Obi Wan, not both.

    Also I noticed that sometimes you DIE because of a choice you did more than 10 choices ago leading you only to bad endings over a long course of other choices. Heck they even tricked me several times, with the obvious good choice being the one leading to death and the darker choice being the better for your health.

    I knew choose your own adventures... but these books are the best I ever read. definitely.

    which one? the one where you stay alive or the one where you are turned into a cyborg-template for a new separatist army?

    Two heads up, Dooku's Secret Army will be published later this month in the UK, but the blurb isn't very good even if the cover is.

    [image=http://www.collectinghq.com/im/0017386.jpg]

    Join the characters in Star Wars: The Clone Wars on your very own adventure! Jump in and out of cyberspace to continue the experience online with exclusive content, amazing animated scenes and games! There?s a new adventure with every read. Rumour has it that Count Dooku is building a highly-trained army to destroy the Jedi! Apprenticed to Jedi Master Plo Koon, you are assigned a mission to locate and destroy the training ground of Dooku?s secret army. Your search will take you to different planets and introduce you to many interesting characters ? but who should you trust? And can you complete your mission before you are betrayed? Begin your adventures here: www.starwars.com/decideyourdestiny

    Dooku should get some better ideas, a secret highly-trained army is so last decade!

    Crisis on Coruscant is also getting published then too, but no cover for that.

    And, the Tethan Battle adventures is out for the US market.

    [image=http://www.theforce.net/2010/dydtethanbattleadventures.jpg]

    Apprently, it will be slightly different? As in plot or interferance? I am interested in hearing comparative reviews.

    is there an exact publication date? originally they were slated for January 10 according to my amazon

    and I too wonder if or why there are differences? maybe because of the online stuff being added? I recall the other version I have had some errors. f.e. you could not go on without the online stuff, or in some cases page numbers were missing. maybe it's that. I doubt they change the plot
