    I have a question.

At the end of Return of the Jedi, we see Luke, with the three Force ghosts, Anakin, Ben, and Yoda. Then Leia appears, to take Luke to the festivities.

My question is, could Leia see the Force ghosts? If not, why?

My theory is that in order to see a Force Ghost, you'd have had to have some interaction with the deceased Jedi, and this is why Luke never seen or heard Qui Gon Jinn.

How would Luke have seen or heard Qui-Gon in the OT?

I do not believe that Leia saw the ghosts in ROTJ, because she did not have a look of shock or surprise on her face. Anyone who saw three ghosts, especially of one person she knew would show it on their face. Leia did not.

My guess is the Jedi have to make themselves shown to the other people and they made themselves visible to Luke and Luke alone. At the beginning of The Truce at Bakura Anakin shows himself to Leia and not to Luke. Of course Luke was not in the room at the time, but Anakin made himself visible to Leia. Leia would never have considered the possibility of conjuring up Vader's spirit at that time.

    EU of course.

I also don't think she saw them.. in fact, i could be wrong, but I think she kinda gives Luke a weird look cuz he's just standing there smiling at what she sees to be just a wooden fence lol

I watched the entire movie again and i agree that the Ewoks were cannibals, but in a star-wars civilized romantic kind of way..
Oh and Leia didn't see the Force ghosts, that's why she gives him that look.. You know that happy-nothing is the matter look. The oppossite one that the Jedi use in the council (serious-something is odd look)

The Ewoks were not cannibals. They were merely trying to eat a different species, which is not cannibalism by definition. In order for one to be a cannibal, they would have to eat members of their own species.

When Leia approached Luke,it was as if she was saying "What are you looking at" and Luke's response was like "Oh,nothing". Hey,how about the way she snuggled up to him right then? I've always thoght that was cool.

I think that leia saw the three ghosts of Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Yoda, because she is Force sensitive, she has some of the Force too. Remember in esb when Luke was stranded in Besbin she felt him call for help.

I think it's pretty clear that Leia didn't see the ghosts at the end of ROTJ--she doesn't have any sort of reaction to them. Leia just isn't "tuned into" the Force yet.

Maybe she didn't see them because she wasn't looking in their direction. She was focused on Luke. Notice how she was looking at him, not toward the ghosts. *shrugs* I still wish she could see them, so I tell myself that she saw them, but she was reminding Luke that he should join the people who are still alive. Oh well.

I don't think Leia knew "HOW" to see the jedi spirits; perhaps the ability to see them depends on one's understanding of the Force. While she has the Skywalker heritage...she had only small connection with the Force:

    He wasn't...I can feel it

Leia had just a small taste of that 'larger world" Obi-Wan described to Luke (during the remore training); perhaps jedi spirits only appear to those who have undergone some jedi training.

With time and patience Ani you will
Even though it's from TPM...it does indicate that while someone can have great Force potential, they must learn HOW to experience life through the Force.

They appeared to Luke, not to Leia. Visions go to specific people; rarely are they "shared" unless...... *ques "Twilight Zone" sounds*

I agree with that. I think the spirits were actually in Luke's mind and the viewer happened to be allowed a glimpse of them - not that they were physically there and everyone else was somehow blind to them. If a Jedi and a Sith were together and a spirit wanted to advise only one of them, it wouldn't be adequate for the spirit to be visible to anyone tuned into the Force. They would need more precise control over who they appear to.

Leia DID NOT see the force-ghosts. It has already been pointed out that she has no reaction to them.

The more disturbing question for me is about those ewoks. I never really gave it any thought, but if you put the scene of them displaying the empty captured helmets together with the earlier scene of Han on the spit...

Is Lucas implying that the ewoks snacked on stormtrooper meat while the rebels stuck to the salad. That's disturbing, to say the least.

Somebody, please tell me that's not what went down.

Why is that disturbing? The Ewoks aren't eating members of their own species, so it's not cannibalism. It's no different than you or I eating some roast chicken.
