When Obi-Wan Kenobi was on Kamino, right after Jango tells Boba to close the door, Obi-Wan's eyes flash over to the door for just a minute. Did he see Jango's rockets or not? However, if he did, why didn't he just whip out his lightsaber and kill Jango right then?

A Jedi would never attack someone like that. Obi Wan doesn't see his rockets, just some of the armour.

And at no point does Obi Wan try to kill Jango. He was told to capture him.

Yes, Obi-Wan only saw the armor, which didn't make much of a difference considering Lama Su already told Obi-Wan he was a bounty hunter.

I haven't listened to the DVD Commentary in a long time, but I remember Ben Burtt says something to the effect of "No, Obi-Wan does not see Jango's stuff"

I didn't think there was any nudity in AOTC?

I know he was supposed to capture him, but where would Obi-Wan put him? The back seat of his starfighter?

I guess Obi-Wan would commendeer the Slave-1 after subduing Jango and Boba.

"I remember Ben Burtt says something to the effect of "No, Obi-Wan does not see Jango's stuff"

Actually, Burtt says it's basically left open for interpretation. He acknowledges that Obi-Wan does seem to try and get a look, but it's left up in the air as to whether he saw the armor or not. Even if he didn't spot the armor, I think Obi-Wan pretty much knew Jango was precisely the bounty hunter he was looking for.

Obi-Wan told Yoda and Mace that he would contact them when he had captured Jango; so, perhaps once Jango was apprehended, the Jedi would have sent a transport to pick him up. Or, perhaps there was room to shove Jango into the cargo area where the spare parts canisters were originally contained.

As for whether or not Obi-Wan saw the armor, I'm not sure if it even really mattered. I think by the time Obi-Wan met with Jango, he was pretty sure this bounty hunter was the one he was looking for.

    AOTC DVD Commentary:

GL: Obi-Wan comes into the apartment, he knows this is the guy he's looking for immediately.

BB: Did Obi-Wan actually see Jango's rocket suit or not? That is the question. In the original dailies for this scene, Ewan McGregor's eyes do flash over and see something and then come back onto Jango. So it's apparent to me that he did look past Jango and see the rocket suit. But if one assumes that Obi-Wan did see the rocket suit, why didn't he just draw his lightsaber at that very moment and arrest Jango? The solution to this problem, was to keep it ambiguous. You do notice that Obi-Wan gives a little look toward the rocket suit, when we're over the back of Obi-Wan's head, and Jango tells Boba to close the door. That was not part of the original concept of the scene.

Obi-Wan probably sensed something suspicious about Jango but Jedi dont just kill people like that.

Obi-Wan was suspicious of Jango from the beginning. He knew he was looking for a bounty hunter, and when Taun We said that the clones were made from a bounty hunter (and with the Kamino saber dart being "traced" to the planet), he had to know that Jango was the guy he was looking for.

"Obi-Wan probably sensed something suspicious about Jango but Jedi dont just kill people like that."

Exactly, otherwise Mace Windu could've just slit Tyrannus's throat during the balcony standoff on Geonosis and spun around halving Jango Fett before he could react. ;)

More than likely, Obi-Wan realized the jetpack and armor matched the mysterious figure that blasted off from a building after assassinating Zam Wessell on Coruscant.

However, even if those were his suspicions, it would'nt be enough evidence to strike down Jango to begin with.

I still think Fett was stupid to order Boba to close the door right after Obi-Wan glanced over into the room.
