Discussion about the Jedi Code

    Wow, Healer Leona, that was exactly what I wasn't going for when I added 'in the force' to those lines :p

    I was trying to divorce the Jedi code from the Jedi exclusively, in that the Force is in everything, Ala Yoda's lesson on Dagobah. I made the addition because I was trying to illustrate why I think the common version that everyone knows isn't about the Jedi saying they have no emotion, no chaos, no ignorance, etc, it's about describing an ideal they are reaching for. In that the ideal they strive for is a part of everyone and everything, it is very democratic, to me at least. ;)

    So a reminder, the 'in the Force' version is not cannon or a part of Lucasfilms anywhere I am aware of. I made it up!

    The early Jedi code I find very Taoist, but it still seems like someone is trying to have it both ways. To some extent it is the age old question of relativism vs. absolutism. Ah well o_O
