Do gals prefer guys with stubble/beards or freshly shaven?

I ask because I'm out on a date tonight and could use a shave....

 

The real question is, "Do guys prefer gals with stubble/beards or freshly shaven?"

 

i think it depends on the woman. my girlfriend prefers me clean shaven.

an ex of mine prefered me with my goatee. (i think that might have been to do with the hair covering my ugly face)

Well, it depends. While the "stubble" can look cool, it definitely FEELS horrible if you get to any snuggling. Women tend to have sensitive skin (at least on their face/neck ) and it hurts like HECK when that stubble rubs on your neck or face (you shouldn't be gettin' that stubble anywhere else before you're married anyway, Terra. )

EDIT: Darth_Dagsy - Yeah, goatee's are very good looking if the guy can "wear it" well.

 

Stubble = sandpaper.

I love when my boyfriend is clean shaven it feels soooooo good.

I agree with K-J, stubble can *hurt*! Your skin gets irritated.

Right now I'm beyond the stubble stage, but not quite a full beard...ah, we'll see - not sure what'll look best with my new haircut!

On our honeymoon my wife told me to not worry about shaving. I guess she wanted to see how it would look. I have been sporting a nicely trimmed beard ever since. We both think I look better with it, but the sandpaper effect does bother her at times. Still, she tells me not to shave it off. One of those little trade-offs in life.

 

My ex loved the sandpaper effect on her neck - go figure!

I should stop trying to apply logic to women and realise that no matter what people say, the decision will ultimately be made on how lazy I'm feeling in an hour or so.

 

Stubble is awful!!! I'm not too fond of goatees, but I love my clean-shaven husband or a beard like on this guy:

It depends on the features of the man. My husband looks great clean shaven, or with a bit of stubble, but a full beard or goatee somehow looks out of place on him.
For instance, Viggo Mortensen or Sean Bean can get away with full facial hair, but I can't imagine Orlando bloom or Elijah Wood like that.

Only seen one guy I liked not cleanly shaven. Whenever he stumbled out of bed and into class without shaving, we would always whisper excitedly about his "sexy stubble." But unless you're him, I don't recommend it.

 

Shave. Most women hate the feeling of sandpaper on their face.

 

-Especially for a date. You don't want the girl to think "what? Was I not worth you going to any trouble?"

 

Definately clean-shaven for me. I don't know many of my friends that like guys with beards or stubble, either.

 

I hate having stubble, it just feels terrible. However, I have wondered if I would look better with a beard, but I never get one because I can't stand the stubble. I also would like to know what girls think of chest hair, I always get conflicting answers on this one.

 

Clean shaven-Definitely

Stubble-Gives me a rash

Beard-I can live with that...

Goatee-Are you kidding?

There's also something to be said for watching a guy shaving...It's quite an interesting visual experience, when done in the proper setting...it can cause certain interesting emotions, at least in myself

As for chest hair, a little to medium is perfect (a guy who shaves his chest, you have to wonder about him)...but too much hair can just remind one of Fidel Castro's beard.
