Yes, I said, trinonyms not synonyms. For example, the word bathtub is a trinonym because bath=bathtub and bath=tub and tub=bathtub.

I know some more -- does anyone else have any?

LOL, no, those are tribbles -- The Trouble with Tribbles! Classic Star Trek.

    Very good, Grant!

We prefer the terms "vertically challenged" and "alternative hairstyle."

The word part syn- does not mean "two" but rather, "together" or "the same".

    Trinonym is NOT a word.

I seem to remember that being a euphemism for "gay." That, along with "linearly challenged."

AdamShernist is a trinonym because Adam=AdamShernist and Adam=Shernist and Shernist=AdamShernist.

Are we allowed to write "****" in this context?

Edit: I guess not! The word was "ass-hole" but I see it dropped down to a 4-letter asterisk combo. Intriguing.

Um, if something has more than one synonym, it has synonyms.

    Not trinonyms.

er, what the hell? I don't even understand what the relationships are between the words here?

Kittycat = cat, kittycat = kitty, cat =kitty ???? Is it like that? Whaaa? Is there a point? Some reason why this is good for us to know? Or fun to figure out? I mean, you can do that by putting any two words together :p

    piechart. :p

No, that's wrong. The word "pie" does not mean the word "chart."

    Try: sailboat

You can use the word "sail" to mean sailboat.

You can use the word "boat" to mean sailboat.

You can use the word "sailboat" to mean sailboat. Any part is considered equivalent to the whole.

    Now you try.

But only if the new compound word is a real word. Happyglad doesn't count because happyglad isn't a word.
