Nope. Thought it would be more obvious. Julie is right in that the floor is unique.

Made a little boys day at the castle. He had a Dalek backpack on, but didn't know that Doctor Who was filmed there, so I showed him and his dad the places. He was dead chuffed!

I think the title and Hitler himself being one giant red herring is a brilliant idea. Because that's exactly what a monstrous ****hole like Hitler deserves - being punched, locked up in a closet and promptly forgotten. It removes all the power he has - he shouldn't be feared, he should be ridiculed. The only thing that would make it even better is a post-end-credits scene with Hitler still in a cupboard, knocking on the door and saying "Hello? Anyone zere?" :p

And just out of curiosity, why do you keep referring to River Song as "Riversong"?

That Doll House. Hate that episode but the Doll House and those doll things stuck with me.

Add the fact that the bus is usually bigger on the inside and can travel across space and time...IT ALL MAKES SENSE.

    6.10: Night Terrors

"Monsters, yeah. Well that's what I do. Breakfast, dinner and tea. Fight the monsters! So this, this, is just an average day at the office for me."

I enjoyed this episode quite a bit this time around, although after Let's Kill Hitler this wasn't hard. The setup of the episode was insultingly simplistic but following that I did enjoy quite a bit of it. Although it's mainly a Moffat-era take on Fear Her, this episode at least gives us a character and family we can care about as well as giving us a suitably more haunted tone rather than the clash of light and shade we had in Fear Her. However, Gatiss' script lacks the fine detail to really pull all of this off. Sure, on paper the idea of an episode being partly set in a dolls house and partly in the company of a haunted child is great. But the episode doesn't do enough to marry all of those ideas up. Instead, it gives us a taste of a number of story threads to work with and leaves us to put the pieces back together.

We're never told how the boy can create the doll house reality, we know little of his race, how he got to Earth, the aspects of the perception filter that deceived the parents or whether it truly is viable for him to stay on Earth. It's those crucial aspects of the story that it failed to deliver ultimately held the story back from being something really good. This is a typical Gatiss style of writing when it comes to Doctor Who (a drastic change of style compared to the amazing work he does with Moffat on Sherlock). In fact, it's almost like the ideas for Sherlock that were rejected were turned into full length Doctor Who episodes. It's really disappointing because Gatiss has proven himself to be a capable writer. Where there's an opportunity to clear things up, the dialogue is skimmed over by Matt Smith in a haste with the background noise and score turned up to distract us (see staircase scene in final moments of episode).

Night Terrors was a great episode in theory and for the first half it really had me drawn in. But toward the end the episode stopped caring and so did I.

    2.5 out of 5

I was on that staircase yesterday :p

One day we may get a good Gatiss Who episode. Maybe on the 6th September?

I had to look that up.

Still, a better candidate might be Iris Wildthyme. ;)

Which is why I suggested a better match for Ms Frizzle would be Iris Wildthyme. Keep up.

They also mentioned that it'll be shown around the world.

And by "The World", they mean Europe, Australia, nowhere in Asia, and probably in North America.
