ST Does Kyle Katarn have a place in the new trilogy?

Ever since playing Jedi Knight, i've always felt that (when the time comes - like now) a worthy spiritual successor to Han Solo is Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors. Both tough, rugged, with a knack of adventure. Best of all, Kyle is a more complex character than Han in some ways because he is a man reformed from his ways in the empire. Although Finn is kind of a Kyle Katarn in his own way, would there be room for another smuggling duo?

I would really like to see Kyle Katarn even if its just in a small role.

 

We may already have our new Kyle Katarn in Finn. They have very similar backgrounds.

 

That's what I was thinking too, we even had Finn wielding a lightsaber. BUT...Finn doesn't have his own ship just yet. Though i'm pretty sure he'll join the falcon. It's a pretty empty piece of junk with a crew of only two.

 

That's what I was thinking. Still hoping for it because if he isn't we wont get Katarn in any form.
