does luke and leia ever find out who padma is in the NJO?

I was wondering if Luke and Leia ever get to find out who Padma is.Luke was hot on her tail in the black fleet crisis but found out she went by "many names".I do believe she didnt die in episode 3 I dont think Lucas will kill her off.I know most people do but I dont.even if she did die that dosnt mean Luke and Leia wont find out.That brings me to another question.Why dont Luke and Leia seem to care or wonder that much about thier mom?I mean if my father were darth vader id wanna know what women gave herself to that man behind the black mask.Why I dont think she died is Leia did remember somewhat of her mom and if she did she must have been 3 or 4 at the time.Granted she could have died after that but of what?Shes already hidden I suppose the emperor could have found her but GL aint gonna go ahead 3 or 4 years at the end of the episode 3 movie to show that.I dont think.I belive at the end of NJO Luke and Leia will find thier mom before she dies so Lucas can rap this situation up or it will be in a novel soon after NJO is finished.Borsk fey`lya becoming a hero in SBS wasnt anticapated and I think there is more surprises in store.

 

The black Fleet thing wasn't even rela, I don't think that Akahnah or whatever the name of his "mother" was, was a real person. IT just said that was the name of some unknown woman but it's a chance. they don't really care since they don't have any leads. then from the comic art of TLC or one other Zhan book, in the background of Leia and one of the kids, is someone who looks nearly exactly like Amidala so it may be tha they know but the companies don't go into detail of how.

 

If they know buy TLC then Luke wouldnt have to go looking for her.I would like to see that art you were talking about.Was she seen in a picture in the background or just standing by Leia and the kids?

 

Are you kidding? They'll come up with some wacky "theory" that they were clones of Palpatine or something and that it doesnt' matter what the movies say, Padme wasn't the mother.

 

It would be nice if Luke and Leia found out about thier mother. It would be equally interesting to learn about what state Naboo is in as of NJO, but I don't see that happening until Lucas is finished with his prequels. We wouldn't want any conflicts now would we?

 

I've always wondered the same thing. I started a thread like this sometime last year and someone stated that Padme popping up all of a sudden after all this time would be silly, but I disagreed. If Padme doesn't die in Episode III, then then reemergence of Padme could be nicely blended in with the EU version of StarWars.

 

Look in TTT comics, there's a pic of Padme on the wall.

 

I always liked the thought that Padme went into hiding at a convent or montastary (sp?) around the time Luke and Leia were 3. She could have told Bail Organa to tell her daughter she was dead, fearing that Vader would track her down and then find her daughter and raise her to be a Sith Princess or something. So technically any time now Padme could pop up and be in her 70s or something like that when she is discovered by her children or grandchildren.
Its a long shot but it could happen.

The thing is historically so far, everyone knows about amidala and the trade wars. They just haven't put two and two and tied her to luke and leia yet.

All luke and leia know is their mother was royalty. They just don't know which royalty from which planet yet.

 

wait, that means Luke's a prince! wait, no, they chose their kings and queens by election. anyways, I don't think She's alive. I think she dies somewher in episode 3 and anakin turns to the darkside because of it.

 

The last of NJO is scheduled for release around episode III (at least it was once upon a time)--if they are to learn about Padme, my suspicion is it will be after episode III is out--or much much closer to the release.

 

You will think that either Threepio or Artoo Detoo would tell them (most likely Luke) about their parents after all this years. They are the two experienced every events since EPI, and neither of them took memory wipes (remember Threepio's speech in Union.)

 

I belive that 3po had a memory wipr he said his first job was programing binary loadlifters and we know this just isnt true so unless he lied he had a memory wipe but I think r2 knew everything and never had one.I just dont belive Padma died in episode 3 and buy the time the last NJO comes out episode 3 will already come out I belive the black fleet crisis hinted at Padma being alive why else would LFL lead us on a wild sabacc chase for no good reason at all.SO far LFL have done a preety good job of not doing that type of thing in the novels.One turn of events in the novels always leads to another.That way the time line always remains interesting.

 

by the way dengo its Padme, not Padma, you make her sound like a black and white bear from China when you call her Padma. Its a Padma Bear.

Hey, Mastadge, I never read the TTT comics, so I never knew that their is a picture of Padme on the wall. Does she look anything like the Padme we know ? Simply curious, is all.

 

Okey, I am not sure if Threepio received a memory-wipe after his rebuild by Anakin. But he clearly remembered his "birth" at Tatooine as he stated in Union. So either he had his memory intact, or Artoo filled him with all the details afterward. Either way, Threepio knows who Luke and Leia's parents were.

The whole BFC mother incident is proven fake in its own edning. It is just a mean to lure Luke to help those White Current wielders. They even said in BtS that Luke's mother was Force sensitive, which Padme wasn't.

And Padme was not dead in EPIII, Leia knows her true mother when she is old enough to remember that she is kind and sad.

 

She could be force sensative, ForceAlly, I have seen certain aspects of the EU that says she was (such as the CCG) and some that says she wasnt (such as WOTC RPG). It all depends on Episodes 2 and 3

 

I think theres more to TBFC then meets the eye.but i have been known to make mistakes .......from time to time.

 

If Padme is still alive in the EU LFL will surprise us with it in one of the NJO novels or shortly after in another novel.Look what they did with Borsk Fey'yla (dont know if thats his right name)

Somewhere in one of the seven documentaries on the offical site, there is a clip of Palpatine telling Padmé that the Force is with her. This could mean that she has force ability, or simply that he wants her to think that she is acting nobly. It's still not definitively stated that she is or isn't.

personally i believe that Padme will die in 3 and it will end this debate...

then the only way to bring her back would be to have had her death faked to throw off vader/anakin or something crazy like that. i wouldn't like to see that but who knows how short on stories the EU will be by the time ep3 comes out.
