Does R2-D2 cuss in A New Hope?

In the scene in A New Hope, where R2-D2 and C-3PO are hiding in the little building in Tatooine and the stormtroopers are looking for them, C-3PO says to R2, "I'm not sure what all this is about, but I'm sure it must be your fault," and then R2-D2 responds with some beeps, and then C-3PO says, "You watch your mouth!"

This scene leads me to believe that R2 says a naughty four-letter word (or two) to C-3PO. LOL, what do you think R2 said in that scene?

Well, considering some of what Threepio went in there, I'm sure some of those memories aren't fond...

...Not to mention that I think Threepio and R2-D2 may be memory-wiped by the end of ROTS. How else would Lucas explain Threepio not recognizing the name Skywalker?

 

That's the beauty of talking in beeps and whistles, you can curse all you want and only one will know. R2 could pretty much be the Star Wars equivalent of Jay if he wanted to.

C3PO has to have his memory wiped but R2D2 doesn't (in fact it would make the devotion for finding Obi-Wan better if he still has his memory).

 

Yeah, it would make more sense given artoo's devotion to finding Ben... that would probably have necessitated programming artoo not to reveal any information about their earlier life, which I'm sure would make threepio annoyed like he seems to be!

 

i wasn't gonna post in this thread based on it's title, then i read it and am happy to say it didn't descend into trash like i assumed.

i love when a negative assumption of mine is wrong, kinda restores the faith so to speak.

anyway i always have thought in my own head that he tells 3po to "kiss my bumper" but substitute the word bumper for the obvious profanity.
