He loves bugs and insects in real life, so that could be a clue.

Or they could go all motion capture like Maz, or full costume like Ungar Plutt or Stormtrooper 007.

 

He is Beckett's son. I am sure.

 

I hope it’s a very small role. Really not a fan of his hammy acting.

Maybe he's one of the Guavian Death Gang...accent would fit. I could see him saying "You're a dead man!" and "Tell that to Kanjiklub!"
The gang idea would fit too, if the Resistance takes the direction that has been rumored, in order to defeat the FO.

 

I'm going a different route than everyone else. I think he'll be Ren's apprentice.

 

I don’t know that he would want an apprentice at this point. In TLJ he talked about leaving behind the Sith and the Jedi. Having an apprentice is very Sith/Jedi-ish but I could be wrong.

 

Him saying he wanted to create a new order in tlj kind of stuck with me. Him and Snoke already weren't Sith. Maybe his apprentice is considered the new master of the knights of Ren. I would think it's kind of drilled into his head at this point that there needs to be some sort of master apprentice relationship. Also if the Knights are still around, Kylo probably has alot more responsibility and things to do than devote most of his time being their sole leader.

But Kylo talked about leaving several things in the past, and yet he goes down to Crait and acts like good ole crazy Kylo again and does everything he would have done had he been taking orders from Snoke. Nothing changed for Kylo with Snoke's death. I think he was just saying that crap about letting the past die in order to lure Rey into his clutches and it didn't work. Kylo still very much hates Skywalker (uncle almost murdered me in my sleep I'm mad!) and anyone associated with him. So if he thinks a reinstitution of the Sith and Vader's ways is the best way to defeat the Resistance, I think he would do it.

Not caring about the Sith seems to have been Snoke's thing anyway. Kylo is just obsessed with Vader and power and revenge, so I don't think any tactic or dogma is off limits to Supreme Leader Kylo.

If the KoR are indeed in IX (no leaks yet tho!), I could see Kylo having a top lieutenant of the KoR basically being his apprentice and the one Knight he meets with privately. Now as Supreme Leader, Kylo probably doesn't lead them on missions himself, just sends them out with instruction and has someone among them elevated to the leader in the field.

 

Makes the most sense to me. He probably has enough on his plate besides running around with his buddies wearing masks and raiding villages.

 

In a recent podcast he shares the following:

He says he got the call from JJ confirming his SW role when England were playing Colombia in the World Cup this year. JJ finished his first draft by then and told Dom he found a character for him (Dom says right age, right sensibility).

Dom: “JJ is a friend of mine and he said to me that at some point I’d get the opportunity to read the script. [He told me] ‘just be aware of the fact that there are massive sequences in Act 2, there are massive sequences in Act 3 but because we’re shooting Act 1 first, I’ve put you in there and you seem to not be around as much in Act 2 and Act 3 but that’s because that’s what we’re doing first so I want you here, I want you invested. So read the script but just know there wont be long until there’ll be a re-draft of those things and we’ll see you a little bit more’. So I read it, and the script is amazing and obviously there isn’t a lot I can say..”

He then proceeds to say that he hugged Chewbacca and met Anthony Daniels and R2. He also has another 6 weeks of filming to go.
