I've had to do the same thing for two terms. All my profs assigned 12-15 page essays 4 weeks prior to finals which were due the week before finals. Of course the first term I procrastinated until eventually I had to claim having gotten pneumonia (which was plausible as I had been hacking and wheezing for most of the the term, and had been in and out of class) and ended up spending the weekend, Monday, and Tuesday writing the essays and turning them in on Wednesday AND taking the four finals to go along with them, all while keeping up as sickly and miserable a look I could and pretending to cough.

The second of the terms wasn't nearly as exciting, but I started all three of the essays that time around (same length, though) the week they were due. So it wasn't as much of a cram fest, or nearly as exciting as the first.

I'd much rather do projects, I am an overachiever like that.

I have 4 A's(Important Classes) and 2 B's(Not Important at all), and Projects or Multiple Assignments from all my Important Classes each week. It's been that way since 4'th Grade, in Advanced Classes.
The Teachers said, "It's not more work. It's more ADVANCED work." Apparently they lied.
