Droid vs. Jedi question?

If Gen Grevious has guard droids that have power staffs that can deflect a Jedi's lightsaber attack. Then why ....ohhh....why don't doesn't dooku's forces built droids that have that enhancement built into their arms and legs . That would seem to give the Jedi a huge weapons disadvantage. Just a thought but, if I were a droind designer I would incorperate it.

 

they probably didn't yet have the right technology...

or maybe the Neimodians are just bad droid builders

 

A better question is why the Jedi don't simply use the Force to disarm General Cheesus and his Tusken Raider reject bodyguards. But I guess the prequel Jedi are so foolish and incompetent that the thought never occurs to them.

 

Perhaps it's a prototype technology that is still difficult to manufacture due to any number of reasons.
