Actually, the line about 'good in him' and the tie to Luke in the OT saying the same thing has been brought up a lot. A whole lot. Still, good to see it.

Didn't see it in this thread. I loved that was in there, too.

"Just an FYI, it is NOT the Death Star that Palpatine is looking at (hologram) in his office. If you notice, it's a planet with the trajectory of a satellite or an orbiting ship mapped out. It isn't the "trench" of the DS, as it does not cut across the axis of the sphere, it's almost elliptical in nature, starting from top left, curving bottom right. The trench on the DS is straight."

After watching it and rewatching it several times, there's no question at all that it is plans for the Death Star. I have a screenshot of it here, but it isn't quite clear until you see it in motion. You can definitely see where the superlaser is as well as some of the lines that cross the death star. I could probably try to do several screenshots in a row, but like I said it doesn't look nearly as convincing unless it's in motion.

Trust me though, there's absolutely no question. It's 100% the Death Star.

That being said, it really isn't even an Easter Egg, since it makes perfect sense in the plot for him to be checking out those plans. Cool nonethless though!

In case this hasn't yet been mentioned: when the Wookies help Yoda escape, it definitely feels like a nod to E.T.

On the Invisible Hand, Anakin instructs R2 to find the controls for an elevator shaft ####...this number sounded familiar...it is possible that this is the number of the detention level where the compactor is in ANH?

/Wish I could remember the number...

Then thers is a droid that is working on Anakin after he is burned and is laying on the table. That same droid appears in ANH when they are all planning about the attack on the Death Star.

    -

You mean Return of the Jedi. It's called 2-1B, it monitored Luke in the bacta tank and also attatched his robotic hand

    Actually it was TESB.

The compartment number in ANH is 3263827. Leia is in cell 2187. The elevators in ROTS are 3224 and 3174. What bugged me was that Obi-Wan and Anakin call it an elevator, not a turbolift.

When Obi-Wan and Anakin duel on Mustafar, they enter a narrow corridor where their lightsabers hit the walls and throw off sparks. Luke and Vader enter a similar corridor on Cloud City and throw off the same kind of sparks.

    >>I'm pretty sure that no one has said anything about this but did you notice that the order Palpatine gives to all the clone troopers to kill the jedi is 66. It may not mean much but it is pretty close to 666 which is the devil. Just like to point it out.<<

More likely its in reference to Route 66, the famous American Highway. Remember GL is a classic car guy. A lot of the number combos used in the saga are numbers in reference to american cars. 327 is my favorite one used. It was the engine size for Corvettes from 1962-1968

I'm pretty sure that is not the Death Star that Palps is looking at. I was specifically looking for that when I saw it a second time (from a digital projector no less) and I did not see anything that would point to it being the Death Star. No indentation for the laser, no trench, no nothing. It was just a featureless sphere that was probably Utapau or Mustafar.

I don't know if anyone is a fan of titan ae, but the creatures on utapua (sp?) refuelling obi wans ship look just like goom from that movie.

During the Boga Grevous hotwheel chase, Obi Wan drops his saber. His saber falls by a trooper and he picks it up. If you look in the background you will see a large brown blob fall and splat against the ground behind him. Later, after Grevous is killed, Obi Wan meets the trooper who gives him his saber back. The trooper now has brown stuff smeard across his mouth.

The Medical Droid Two1B appears on Hoth after Luke has been rescued from his cuddle with the Wampa. He is in a bacta tank and the droid stimulates him by pressing something against the glass.

Also, there was another droid creating vader, and earlier version of FX 17(?). I used to have this as one of the old toys back in the 80s! One with loads of arms covered in gadgets. I thought it was an imperial medical droid.

Back to Padme's funeral lump - it is answered in the book, it is maintained so that everybody thinks the baby (singular) died with Padme.

Yes The EU charecter that was made for RotS is Aayla Secura. Mr Lucas saw a picture of her before filming began and decided to use her for the movie

I dont know if anyone else heard this or has mentioned it, but as Mace boards the Republic gunship and tells Anakin to wait at the Temple whilst he goes to arrest Palpatine, the sound of the carbon freezing chamber can be heard in the background.

I think its there. Be sure to check it out.

Its the sound thats made as the clamps come down on Han and its that sort of whirry sound - "WHHHHHHEEE-AH", that one.

The EU character is not Aayla Secura, because she is in Episode II also. The EU character in ROTS is brand new and has not been in a movie before. So Secura is out.

Watch when Mace is fighting Palpatine, when Mace backs out of the door look at his mouth. It looks like during the scene he was making Lightsaber sounds, like many of us do. Maybe he wasn't be it looks funny and I hear rumors about Ewan keep making Saber Sounds and Lucas joked that he didn't have to cause they have people that can add the sound later.

I assumed it was 66 since that sounded similar to Sideous.

Also when Anakin slices a console with his saber in the control room while dueling with Obi on Mustafar, it starts an emergency sequence and the "siren" is the same sound star destroyers have when they fly dangerously close to each other...as heard in ESB when the Falcon "threads the needle" with those 2 destroyers right before they enter the ateroid field.

But I'm sure most of you pointed that out already...

Not really an Easter Egg but the whole scene where the Emperor declares the Jedi as traitors and announces the birth of the Empire while Anakin is killing the Sepratists is pretty much a wink & nod to the Christening scene in the first Godfather.

Woulda been a whole lot more powerful if the Jedi killing scenes were integrated into that scene rather than the Sepratist killings...

The little silver roller-bots that pour into the seperatist control room are the same as the bigger black ones that will roll around on the Death Star. Geonossian created also?

They are running from Anakin when they come into the room. How cute.
