Does anybody here know how to play custom missions or edit the TOD missions in X-Wing collector's CD? I have X-ED, but I can't get my edited missions to play in-game.

Also, is there any way to allow you to play in XP without the CD? The install program failed because it directly accesses the HDD or something, so I just copied everything from the CD to my HDD. It still checks the CD though.

Are you trying to play the DOS CD in XP? Then you'll need to start the XCDR utility as a driver/TSR in your DOS emulator in order to play custom missions. If you want to avoid the headaches, get either the X-Wing Collectors' Series or X-Wing Trilogy, either of which will have the Windows version of X-Wing, on Ebay or Amazon.com. If you decide to still run the DOS CD, you can find XCDR by following the first link in my signature and going to the "Flightdeck" area.

Bah. I wasn't using a DOS emulator, only VDMSound. Perhaps I'll just try to become better at the game :)

Guess I can recommend DOSBox to you then.

I know all about DOSBox, just slowed down a bit too much on my old PC when playing X-Wing and TIE. Haven't tried it on this one though.
