I'm just reposting this in full because there will not be a more true or effective comment about this "issue."

Actually, on second thought: I guess the issue could also be stated by noting that there is no actual point of doctrinal disagreement between modern Jedi and Ashoka. Where's the daylight between she and Luke? If I had to choose an analogy, I would say it's like someone who perfectly adheres to Pope Francis's edicts and opinions claiming they "can't" be Catholic because they don't believe in indulgences, ignoring the fact that the Catholic Church itself stop endorsing the idea a few centuries ago.

In short, no one would contend she is a Jedi of years bygone. But she's just as obviously one now.

It’s implied that there are some philosophical differences (although not really explored as far as I can tell). It’s more like a Protestant being told that they are Catholic because ‘they’re both Christian.’

Which ones? I am trying to think back over her appearances and I honestly can't recall any at all. At very worst, it's like pointing out that portions of the court of Charles I were no longer High Anglican but just Catholic again.

When we had Andor I was super excited to talk about the show and this thread was virtually dead.

    Look at it now...

Let's just admit it, we want our SW to be bad.

In fact, the worse the better.

    You know it.

On Rebels Sabine is a natural warrior. She catches on much faster than Ezra.

Sabine Wren comes from a lineage of great Mandalorian warrior and her mother is the leader of House or Clan Wren. So her mom is an equal to Bo Katan in Mando society and equally formidable.

No. She didn’t train to be a Jedi. I wasn’t even aware she was Force sensitive. But she is a very skilled warrior.

Kanan trains Sabine how to sword fight with the Dark Saber. She catches on much faster than Ezra.

I mean she’s apparently cool with vengeance. It could also be that the Jedi betrayed her, and now she doesn’t want to be part that ‘church,’ which seems like a reasonable position to take.

New era, Luke would obviously be grateful to come across anyone who was trained in the Jedi way & want their help with trying to find new padawans.

Especially if they're more experienced than him, which Ahsoka is.

In the old EU, the Jedi Order under Luke was different to what we saw in the past. Which is a good thing, Luke saw what happened to the Order under the outdated inflexibility of its old teachings that Yoda & Obi Wan pushed.
A modernised Jedi Order is the way forward, which is why Luke got married and had a child.

    But, that got undone.
Luke now seems to push the old Jedi ways ultimately leading to the failure of his own academy.
    Doesn't really make sense.

Makes sense to me. It fits. Everything is old. Star Wars is old. Ahsoka is old. And the show has the pace of a geriatric.

Impressive for an 8 episode season.
The next episode is apparently much shorter, so maybe the plot will advance faster

To be contrarian it really wasn’t following the old ways that doomed his order, it was agreeing to teach his sister’s teenage aspiring Nazi progeny space magic.

For that matter, the supposed “flaws” of the PT didn’t really have anything to do with their loss to Palpatine, who had an absolute number of advantages. What we see in the PT is basically just a coherent organizational structure, except that concept enraged nerds who had imagined something different and less practical, so now people talk about it’s deep flaw of Not Being the Way I Played My Action Figures.

Popular fan theory going around now, which suggests that

    Marrok is Ezra

Which doesn't really make sense, so no idea why it's gaining so much attention

Na, he's too busy getting mad that Blue Leader was a woman and that there aren't enough men in the show except Baylan

I think the theory is partly based around the idea that Sir Marrok, a Knight in the legend of King Arthur, was a Werewolf.
And who do we know in Rebels that can communicate with Loth Wolves?

I agree, as I said the theory doesn't really make sense considering where we know Ezra & Thrawn ended up.

I want to post in the TV forum. Honing my post.

"This is the worst Star Wars show to date. I hope it spells the end of Filoni's tenure at LFL".

    Good to go?
