I think the story is just going to be season 2 of this show and not a movie.

 

The show starts with people that look like Jedi getting out of a shuttle and murdering an entire ship. It ends with a person that looks like a stormtrooper getting out of a shuttle but he’s everyone’s friend. It’s like poetry, it rhym- *gunshot*

 

Ezra and Sabine switched places. That's like poetry too. The funny thing is that Ezra did a lot of research and exploration while trapped on Dathomir. He knows all about the witches and about Baylan's quest and the mysterious origins of the Jedi and the Sith from countless millennia before the great schism (I'm still probably making that up). But Sabine forgot to ask so they never got around to talking about it.

 

Well, if he had actually been asked about the situation in the new galaxy then they might have had trouble fitting in the part where they name dropped Kanan a dozen times so they really had no choice.

 

There's people in denial here, but the simple truth is that, these EU/Legends characters crawled back to the main storylline of SW is because the ST failed miserably and Disney understands now that is safe money to make "new" material about those CW/Rebels members.
To be fair a movie/series about Cal Ketsis is more probable then anything post TROS. Note how much Dathomir mythologythe last game and this Ahsoka series shared.
At this rate, with time even Mara Jade, somehow, will return.

I wonder if the expectation of people here who don't think there will be a movie is motivated by their wish that there won't be a movie. That they actually don't want to see Star Wars fail at the box office again.
That they actually like that Disney+ viewing figures are unknown.

 

I'm just motivated to think/wish there is no movie because I don't want to have to leave my home in order to consume media that I'm consuming primarily to come to this thread and kvetch about.

 

The reality that The Rise of Skywalker was more profitable than literally every new Disney+ show put together purely by virtue of making any money at all is a million times more ****ed up than every Internet “the ST failed” conspiracy theory.

 

That's a great sentence and probably mostly true, yet cost accounting for Disney+ Star Wars content would be quite easy if they weren't so desperate to hide the magnitude of losses from shareholders.

Also Dathomir is the new Tatooine. Sorry, I know I'm jumping around.

 

Isn't this the first time it's appeared in live action?

 

Sabine and Ahsoka may eventually get to leave, but fans will be stuck there for the next 40 years.

 

I just hope Dathomir gets us back to Tatooine. Once they remember a prominent male from Dathomir who is buried on Tatooine can be revived through Dark Magik once again ...

 

My only hope for the movie is that we are treated to an incredibly surreal running bit in which we see Daniel Glover acting alongside a CGI construct of Harrison Ford.

 

I would also like to hope that the movie shows us how Morgan Elsbeth keeps herself alive through hatred long enough for a snake to come around and give her cybernetic body parts

 

Every coffin that Thrawn brought back contains Darth Maul. A army of Darth Maul. That’s why it’s such a big deal.

I think you're confused. They're stuck on Peridea, not Dathomir. Dathomir is in the GFFA.

 

Yeah Dathomir has, like, 87 appearances to go before it can even get close to Tatooine.

 

Usually when baddies are disposed of, when written properly, it's a happy moment for the viewer. Because the baddie is so evil the viewer hates their guts and likes comeuppance.

It was a happy moment for me. But only because I thought she was a piss-poor character that I didn't want to spend time looking at.

 

You know she’s dead because she took a light slash across her stomach, instead of a much less severe injury like getting impaled or bisected.

 

I'm always confused. Peridea is the new Tatooine!

 

The fight choreography in that scene seemed so slow to me, like no one had been given nearly enough training or rehearsal time, which would be strange for a modestly budgeted streaming show that's spending most of its money on effects.

 

I don't even remember. This was all so forgettable. It was like a bad Legends novel. Like The Courtship of Princess Leia.
