FYI: Tickets for TFA went on sale on Monday, Oct 19th. So from a certain point of view, Rogue One is a week late. Maybe they'll make an announcement during "The Star Wars Show" today.

We already have the final trailer so don't know if they'll be doing anything during MNF like they did for TFA.

 

I already have tickets for a Rogue One showing.

(Food Bank of the Rockies partners with a local theater to do a charity showing, so I bought tickets to a January show)

 

Rogue One hype is so muted relative to TFA this time last year.

This time last year I was already laughing at people who'd already purchased their TFA tickets online. This time last year I had a team of dedicated personal enemies in the TFA box-office thread.

 

Of course. The buzz has worn off and Star Wars is here to stay. We've already had the long awaited ROTJ sequel, the classic cast returned while Rogue One is a spinoff of a familiar story. Hype for a Star Wars movie will never be bigger than TPM or TFA. Ever.
