Emperor Palpatine and Pope Benedict

Is this suggesting that Pope Benedict XVI is similar to Palpatine, which would mean that he is deceiving the whole world and will eventually take control of it?

 

I'm catholic and after thinking about it i guess i'm not offenened

I was offended by the title, but then I looked at the picture and started LMAO. I can actually see how someone could look at that and thnk, "Hey, he looks like the Emperor," without having been plotting to trash the Catholic Church all along. Poor Benedict has very deep eye sockets, which tend to look "shadowy" under bright media lights, and that leaves him a near-dead-ringer for Ian in the Emperor makeup. (They also seem to have similar noses, which doesn't help.)
