Solo Enfys Nest

LOL! I love how people envision KK forcing all of these male screenwriters to insert women characters ad-hoc into movies. Laughable.

 

Don’t know why people are hung up about the name “Enfys Nest”, it seems to be in the traditional style. If we heard the name Boba Fett now for the first time, I’m sure many people would be like “Boba, Bobba, Bubba?? What kind of name is that anyway?”

I like it.

 

A vengfull child soldier was definetly not something i was expecting. But she's quickly becoming one of my favorite characters.

 

When she took off her mask, I thought, wait, she is supposed to be Beckett's daughter? I thought she had an interesting look, both her outfit and then unmasked. Hope she isn't forgotten based on how Solo does. I think this character has potential.

 

Excellent character. Would love some cartoon episodes or a comic. The surprise of her being so young and a rebel was sweet. It is also interesting to think Maul lets them basically run amook so Palpatine has more to worry about

 

Was she already part of the story by time Lloyd & Miller were directing the movie ? Or she's Howard creation ?

 

Same. I was almost certain it would be Aurra or something as the helmet was about to come off. The best kind of twists are the ones that don't just give you a shock, but even more importantly give you something totally new to latch onto. I cannot wait to see her and the cloud riders be a full part of canon now.

 

I thought she was brilliant. I also don't think Fett would've suited this story at all. I mean, seriously, we're trying to make the galaxy feel larger, aren't we..? Does that mean we really have to see Han encounter Boba in his first week in the criminal underworld lol?

 

I also totally thought it would be Aurra, but I really did like her character.

I find it funny that now a days whenever a character comes on screen with a mask you always think it is a known character.

 

She was great and I'd love it if we saw here again, though I'm not holding my breath. Though I liked Solo I wish we were getting spinoff movies starred new characters like her instead.

 

actually, the surprise was when she took her mask off, which is usually an indication of a reveal or some kind of twist. Probably her character's significance was to signal the beginnings of the Rebellion.

Still, interesting to see a few characters that linger on. "Rogue One" attempted to make itself self-contained, by having all the characters die on Scarif, but here, a couple of the characters linger on, adding to some possibilities for some additional side stories during the time of the original trilogy or the sequel trilogy that may feature some of the characters introduced in these early anthology films.

 

My problem with it was I couldn’t understand what people were saying when they said the name. The character was cool though.

 

I've seen plenty Enfys Nest merchandise out in the wild, at least enough based on her role and screen-time. I'm sure we will be seeing some helmet-less merchandise in the not too distant future, especially since it seems fans have taken a liking to the character. I can also see Hasbro holding some stuff back to avoid spoilers for the film. Hell, Funko probably has a helmet-less POP primed and ready for a future fave.

I'm sure she will be popping up in other stories considering Enfys's leading a rebel cell.

 

For all the reasons given already by others above, I really liked this character. I went in knowing the character’s name and what the character looked like with the mask on, which was cool... but it was the reveal and her backstory which really made me like her more than I expected to.

 

What's strange to me is before seeing the movie, I watched a non-spoiler review that claimed Enfys Nest was just a mishandled as Captain Phasma. I'm not sure what that reviewer smokin'.

 

TBH I thought the name sounded sketchy to me, and was spoiled about the reveal, but when Beckett and Val just dropped the name as part of a squabble over the setup for the job, I was all, "Oh, cool, totally SW, let's move on." I liked the fact that this character served a very specific role in this film related to Han's character development, but also has completely separate potential for other future appearances. Well done.

 

The universe is expanding. The potential for more stories. This is what I love about Star Wars
