Episode III Premiere, London Leicester Square May 16th 2005 - Memoirs of a North and South Meet...

....I know what you mean....it was in Leicester Sq that I met the first people from FFUK...Fal_Zon from Newcastle had made some excellent badges with our user names on (he posted them on this site) so that we could recognise each other on the day...I spent most of the day desperately seeking someone else with a FFUK badge too, in the hope that someone recognised it!

I was apprehended by a few people on the day, who thought that I was something 'official'...and could probably get them behind the scenes or something...all I could offer was my pack up for the day....sandwiches and juice

Now whenever I have even a sip of red bull it makes me sick and gives me the runs, i think i got near the 15 can mark on May 16th

 

I drank 6 cans of red bull before anh ended

 

I was eating during ANH, my red bull abuse really got going during ESB, Personally i blame Happy Ninja and Rambles. if i hadn't got the coach down with them i might have slept a bit the night before and not needed as much. however, it was free so i'd have probably grabbed as much as i could anyway

Any side-effects orn?

Hmm well my problems stems from the fact that apart from my 2 cups of tea a day, I don't drink caffiene. So having got no sleep the night before due to excitement and the spring of a rubbishy camp bed at my mate's house sticking in my back, I though it would be a good idea to take some pro plus. so i took a couple, then had 1 red bull and 2 pro plus per film. I say per film - I got to ROTJ and my heart was beating so fast I thought it was going to do a chest burster Alien type thing, so I stopped. One of my most favourite things about that day was when we all chanted/cheered/laughed etc all together at each bit (like when we all laughed cos Anakin was having nightmares about his mum). I especially loved the bit where yoda was coming round the corner to fight Dooku and some bloke down at the front yelled 'Come Onnnnnn' - so funny.

Oh and by the way, the video of the premiere is on Hyperspace. And inside our cinema. Rick McCallum bigs it up!

 

yeah, he said it was the best of the world tour they did for the release of ep III. He said that seeing the reacction in that cinema is what its all about

 

But how many times are you going to get random people on buses asking you if they are your clone?

 

I can honestly say it was one of the funniest things ever today happen to me

I was half asleep, eyes shut, i open them to find some goit who got on at the last stop staring at me who then asks "Excuse me, are you Stuart Sims?" a bit taken aback and confused i reply 'uh yeah', then the strangely attractive stranger asks 'are you my clone?' and the rest is history

 

Red Bull is banned in France.

 

...why is that then??? One can has the caffeine content of less than one Pro Plus tablet...?

 

Still, you have no idea how many members of staff on my checkouts have tried to refuse Red Bull as an age related product. Some ppl just couldn't seem to get their heads round it.

Convo went something like this:

*Bell rings for a supervisor so off i trot*

[checkout operatior] Chris. this customer wants to complain because i wont serve them this *holds up red bull* and they have no ID, i don;t think they look 18.

[confused Me] But that doesn't have an age rating on it. Its just a stimulant drink.

[CO] I thought it had alcohol in it. So should i still refuse it then?

[me] No, theres no reason to refuse it. Any one can buy it.

[CO] Even kids?

[Me] Yes, its just a drink.

[Co] Ok then, but what about this time, once i've asked for ID i can't sell the product untill i've seen some.

[Me] Yes, but that only applies to age restricted products, This isn't, so you can sell it.

[Co] So i can sell it to this customer

[Me close to snapping] YES

[CO] Should i check with the manager to be sure.

[Me smoking at the ears] No. Theres no need, just sell the drink. Its not Age related, Doesn't need ID, Doesnt need to be refused. Ok.

Honestly. More trouble than its worth.

 

It contains something else, can't remember what it is (not caffine) that it's banned for.

 

Is it aspartine?

I've heard things about that in france.


Mind you Foi Gras is OK
