Mini Series Everyone’s thoughts on The Acolyte Series?

I really like the Acolyte TV series. I like the Lightsaber Whip that was seen being used by Vernesta Rwoh. I like the Sith that we didn’t see without its mask until Episode 5 when it got broke. I like Osha better than Mae BUT the idea of Mae being able to kill many jedi without a Lightsaber or anything a Sith would use is pretty badass. I don’t really like Episode 7 but I don’t mind Episode 8

 

I had lot of fun, but right now I saw the finale as a fumble that kinda makes it so there are only villains/corrupt except Jecki and Yord. So probably a 7 overall even though most episodes were an 8 for me because of the finale being a 6 bringing the rest of it down. It was definitely fun and the lightsaber battles were awesome but major parts just don't make sense to me like Vernestra's cover up that is far worse than the truth.

 

It’s funny how the ratings for The Acolyte is quite low

 

I watched all 8 episodes and didn't like it. I really tried to. But it wasn't good.

I'm the same, there was just so much stupid and inconsistent in it that it just felt like a massive waste of time.

 

Second only to Andor. But considering I like Jedi/Sith/The Force more, I'd put Acolyte as my favorite live action show even though Andor is better quality.

 

Good, but could’ve been great with an Andor-level time commitment, and a better lead actor.

 

There were good moments along the way and some stunning visuals and camera work. A large percentage of the budget probably went to the great looking CGI. Elements that make me enjoy Star Wars are new planets, ships, aliens, technology, homages to the Lucas movies, and Jedi/Sith using the Force and fighting with lightsabers. This series delivered all those elements in spades.

The plot just wasn't what I'd hoped for. And that's okay. The Phantom Menace wasn't what I expected, but I still enjoyed it because it was a good story. The tale told in this series didn't fascinate or interest me greatly. I've expressed my specific issues with the series in other threads.

I have very high expectations for Star Wars and this just didn't do it for me. Only BOBF would rate below this series if I were to rank it against the other Disney+ shows.
