Finally getting into The Outer Worlds. Just finished up on the first planet, at least the story stuff. Whilst it certainly runs smoother and seems better written (at least on my early impressions), it's missing a certain je ne sais quoi that the likes of Fallout and The Elder Scrolls have. Maybe that'll change with a new location. Certainly the foundation is a lot stronger, so I'm optimistic.

My brother put Three Houses on his Christmas list, so he is getting that from me.

    I am NOT happy.

    Until Dawn.

    I lost Chris.

Is that a spoiler? I mean, as I understand it, any of the characters CAN die and also CAN survive, so maybe just saying one of them died is only a spoiler for my specific playthrough.

And it wasn't even a choice I made, though I'm sure various choices I made lead up to it; it was a ******* quicktime event where I screwed up twice in a row. ****. Though I think that is probably accurate to how I myself would die in a horror movie scenario: I would make smart choices, but when the big moment came, I would choke and be a hair too slow on my reaction time when it came to ducking a death blow.
I was really invested in him and Ashley. That scene of them where she's like, "We wasted so much time," and he's like, "No moment I had with you was wasted." I legit rolled a tear. I wanted them to be together at the end.

It was the wendigo. And I had to be like less than a second behind on firing the shotgun at her*. I mean, my reticule was on the icon and I hit the button, but obviously I hit the button just a split second too slow.

*Okay, so I just finished chapter 8, so nothing has been revealed about this, but I'm going to go ahead and say it: Hannah's the wendigo, right? I mean, I guess, don't tell me in case I'm wrong, but she totally is. She ate Beth, right? And at a pivotal moment in the climax, I'm going to suddenly see Hannah's tattoo on the wendigo, right? Right.

The final DLC for We Happy Few is dropping on Nov 19. While the gameplay has been uneven, the story and visuals have been strong all the way to the end - and it looks like it will end with a bang, so to speak.

I have feelings about Death Stranding. Confused but wonderful feelings. For all the flak it's been taking, I can't say that about games like Call of Duty or Fortnite.

Awww Stephen, that sucks. FWIW, that totally happened to me in my playthrough as well. Exact same problem. This game hits hard when a character you like dies. And then randomly I also had some characters survive that are evidently hard to get to the end, so who the hell knows. It's unpredictable and I love that about the game. Life or death stuff comes up randomly.

As for your theory, noted. I will not say anything but will be very interested to talk about the game when you're done.

So it looks like they've cast Sully in the Uncharted film. Now remember, I'm like the biggest Uncharted fan ever. And I am very annoyed...

Mark Wahlberg... wtf kind of casting is that?! He's literally nothing like Sully.

Isn't it supposed to be a younger take on Nathan? If that's the case I don't see a problem with Marky Mark as a younger Sully.

Trying to think of a time Marky Mark was actually any good as an actor...

No, this is terrible casting. Terrible. Yes it's a younger take on Nate. But Mark Wahlberg is NOTHING like Sully. And isn't a very good actor either. And is just... so wrong for this.

I'm out. I'm not seeing this movie. And I'm the biggest Uncharted fan there is.

Marky Mark can do well with the right director and script. I have decent faith in Travis Knight, so I'll wait at least until a trailer before truly making up my mind.

He CAN do okay in some roles. This is not the role for him. The casting is all wrong. Why not David Harbor?

Yeah Cranston would be great, although since they're going with younger Nate and Sully, I slightly favor Harbour.

And a great choice he'd be too. Sigh... I'm just trying to imagine Wahlberg saying "Victor goddamn Sullivan!" with a cigar in his mouth. It's not a pretty image.

Yeah, this doesn't feel right for the role - Harbour or Cranston could work.

While I understand why Death Stranding is so divisive, the more I play it the more endeared I am to it. I haven't even made it halfway through the story yet, because I've been having so much fun with the multiplayer system and gradually unfolding gameplay mechanics, while maxing out my stats with the local settlements to unlock even better gear. Taking a player made zip-line, which I had contributed towards building, into tricky to climb mountains is one of the more unique and satisfying gaming moments of the generation for me.

I think that's the first game I'll play after Christmas, if indeed I do get it for Christmas.

I've just realised that a Kojima, Doctor Who, Star Wars and Pokemon game all just came out within the same week.

My childhood rang and demanded I give its toys back.

Finished the witcher 3,finally, after several years.

God that was an amazing game. I feel content, but also hollow and sad. Especially that last camera look/ smile as the title came up on B&W. Tugged on the heartstrings in all the right ways.

Right-o time to slice up some stormtroopers tomorrow after work.

Well, after the shocking death in my last sit-down with Until Dawn, I think that the half-hour I played tonight was the single most suspenseful sequence I've ever played in a video game. It's the start of Chapter Nine and the realization that a character I loved might die with something as simple as me missing two prompts in a row had me as tense as I think I've ever been playing a game. My hands were literally shaking by the time I finished that sanitorium exploration section.

    Mike's friend survived! #wolfsidekickineverygame

So apparently Stardew Valley 1.4 hits in two weeks and is mostly focused on endgame content because **** me for thinking I will ever escape that game in my entire life, I guess.
