Depends on if you'll do much Epic, I suppose. The ship does cost 30+ points, so there's no way you're fitting more than two into a regular list.

Oh, and the Arda I adventure included references the KOTOR MMO era, specifically for Ord Radama.

As expected from how Edge of the Empire was released, the first career supplement for Age of Rebellion has been announced, Stay on Target, which focuses on the Ace career.

Maybe we will finally get to see the PTB-625 planetary or NTB-630 naval bomber mentioned in the RotS Cross-Sections.

That was my initial thought as well upon seeing that, even if its not, always nice to have a new starfighter

Oh, and some info dump on the new books:
New races in Far Horizons: Arcona, Chevin, and Gran.
For those concerned about the endless parade of sexy female Twi'leks, there's a handsome shirtless male Twi'lek performer illustration. ;)
    New ships in Far Horizons:
    starfighters/patrol boats - YQ-400 Monitor-class System Patrol Ship, Regulator-class Patrol Vessel
    freighters/transports - HT-2200 Medium Freighter, HWK-290 Light Freighter, YT-1200 Light Freighter, YT-1760 Small Transport, Luxurious-class yacht.
Capital ships - Armos Modular Transport, Indulgent-class Luxury Starliner [the size of a heavy cruiser]
Adventure seed set on Serenno, and a sidebar on the Darklighter Estate. The Refugee Relief Movement from the PT era is still around. Some adventurers involve being hired by Imperial agencies (there you go, Jello)

Arda I: The base has three squadrons - Dust Squadron (4 A-wing prototypes, 4 X-wings and 4 Y-wings), Rust Squadron (12 Z-95-AF4 Headhunters) and Vortex Squadron (8 T-47 sandspeeders). There are also freighters and small transports, but no capital ships.
The attack on Arda is led by General Vorrel, a veteran of "numerous campaigns against the Alliance", in his personal AT-AT, the Emperor's Titan.
The attacking naval force is 2 ISDs, and at least 6 Theta-class AT-AT barges, a squadron of TIE interceptors, and a TIE hunter flown by an Imperial ace.
TIE Hunter is described, with a great illustration of the hunter pursuing an A-wing through a desert canyon.
There's a reference to a Rebel cruiser called the Fury of Alderaan, but nothing about what it is.
The Alliance smartly scouts locations for back-up facilities ahead of time, and do initial prep-work in case they need to relocate.
The Interdictor-class Eternal Wrath watches the Daragon Trail.
While Ord Radama is mostly Imperial-loyal (except the native population), there's a small Rebel cell there for close to a decade - mostly monitoring Imperial activity and passing the information on. It was used as a staging post in the Empire's pacification of the Rim in the early days. There is an infrequent patrol of ISDs and the Eternal Wrath that guard the planet. The Mala Opera House in the capital city was famous all over the galaxy, but has been renamed the Imperial Opera House and allows only Imperial-sanctioned productions.

New Order 66 podcast dropped, I'll start listening soon. I know they were off to GenCon so it might be related to that - recommend listening though!

Somehow, I missed the press release for the Force and Destiny beta book. That art of the jedi temple decked out in imperial logos with the shuttle in the foreground is really cool...

FFG better do an NJO sourcebook down the road. We need at least one good NJO RPG sourcebook...

sincerely doubt it will happen despite an overwhelming desire to see such a thing

plus they'll probably put "Vergere is a Sith" garbage in it if they do

I think there's a good possibility, it's just going to be a while.

But they know their audience, and that there's a significant crossover between fans of the novels and fans of Star Wars RPGs.

I'd be more concerned that Vergere gets a mention in the upcoming Force-users core rules. ;)

Nah, they'll lose the license before they get into territory which would so directly force them into the Legends continuity. Ongoing publishing --> legends --> not ongoing for long.

But regardless, the books don't mention specific characters unless they have some sort of established in-universe fame or public notoriety in a particular region; well-known governors and crime lords make appearances, but the stuff of loners and everyman heroes is reserved for the players. They don't risk crowding that out with NPCs.

Vergere could conceivably be mentioned in fluff that erroneously correlates her with the Potentium Perspective or something. It's not in the beta though.

I just hope if they do venture into that territory, they read this forum. :D

I doubt that strongly, considering they're de facto Legends, even if the StoryGroup refuses to comment. Putting aside the endless LEU references in the miniature and card games, there's been references to post-Endor material (mostly indirect, but the unedited galaxy map is telling) and the KOTOR era. They don't really appear constrained by anything other than smartly staying in the most popular roleplaying era.
Not only that, but I predict a few years down the line we'll see some new LEU material - nothing major, probably a few short stories and novels - but still firmly LEU.

The idea that they're automatically Legends is an assumption; I think if you consider it a little further you might see where I'm coming from...

    - First of all, their line began before the EU was done away with, so it says nothing of their actual intent that they included certain things before that dismissal occurred.
    - On the other hand, if they knew of the forthcoming dismissal of the EU, it may have been what guided their decision to take a history-agnostic, in-universe approach; the existence of a planet name on a map says nothing of what events may have occurred on that planet or what role it played in galactic history.
    - Either way, it supports my point: They're tiptoeing. It's not like WOTC where every single page had a named character on it, however obscure, as an example of some feat or species or what have you. They're tiptoeing, and it's not hard to tell why they're tiptoeing.
    - The card game and minis lines are inconsequential, as they have no actual in-universe story significance (again, a name on a card says nothing of what that name means to the story). Story is what matters most to LFL, which is why fiction is the most significant part of what was wiped out.

...And most importantly, heh... I've talked to a couple of FFG employees about it. It's all very hush-hush and implied---as you can tell, since I still don't know whether they knew the EU dismissal was coming as mentioned above---but I know we can safely assume they're grooming the lines for assimilation into whatever comes next in the new canon. I mean, who wouldn't? Anything else would just be bad business. They're not gonna make some kinda noble stand for a commercially-obsolete line. They have a chance at holding onto the license, and after seeing what LFL did to Legends EU, why would they put themselves in the line of fire? Nope. It's not Legends, because they'll make sure it's not Legends. They could still lose the license and be lumped into that, but they'll do everything possible to make sure that doesn't happen. At this point in time, that means ambiguity, flexibility, and a willingness to latch onto every little detail about VII when it emerges.

What am I, the dedicated FFG reporter for TF.N or something? Sometimes it seems like I am the only one who is following FFG closely, which is kind of hilarious considering I am not even buying any of their stuff yet.
