BOARD Fantasy Flight Games ignoring prequels?

Hi people,

Is it me or does it look like FFG is ignoring the prequels. I know the OT is more popular than the PT, but I recently saw the Edge of the Empire rulebook and even the species are all OT even though many aliens for PT are my favorites and I don't think I'm the only one. Also the other games (X-Wing and LCG) are also prequel based. What's up with that?

 

The prequels were complete and utter **** and should be forgotten?

 

I imagine they'll get around to them eventually, but it'd be pretty nonsensical to do the PT before the OT, especially with the sequels coming out.

Well personally, I grew up with the prequels, so they're pretty much WERE Star Wars for me. I watched the originals only after I've seen I and II (it was 2003, 2004, so III wasn't out yet), but I think the prequels had a couple of aliens which could've easily have been implemented in for example Edge of the Empire like Zabrak, Neimoidian, Nautolan, Dug, Togruta and Kel'Dor.

Star Wars and SWRPG were better before the prequels became the template for all things SW, and I like that EotE is harkening back to this era. Means quality things.

 

I believe in 1 hexology, not 2 trilogies.

 

Exactly, I believe in a six film saga set in a universe with a rich history.

 

Let me guess... prequels first, and no WEG?

 

I am rather fond of many things I have heard about WEG, so no definitely not.

 

Prequels always come first.

 

Actually the Core book has all kinds of references to the PT, and the first official adventure Beyond the Rim features a plot laden with Prequel era tidbits.
