Look, I accepted your apology, and responded to your pm. I get it, you feel like ****, and I, being the recipient of the post and apology, have the ability, in your mind, to make that feeling go away The thing is, it's part of the process, you **** up then feel bad. That's how it is. So, stop apologizing and stfu now. Things will be okay, just chill.
I think the people who are complaining about an 'in-crowd' lately are defining that as a paradoxically welcoming in-crowd if I get thrown in that as well, given I'm not a JCCer™ and have only been back on the boards a handful of months.
Oh, I'm quite enjoying the wider JCC having mostly been active in the Senate - Lit is where it all started though.
I'm just happy to be contributing more than an entire first page of TOOL themed threads and vivisection images. It took nearly 20 years but now I bring Anakin quotes about sand. Just wait for my 2025 progress.
I'm a huge Tool fan myself. I post them constantly in the music thread. I was actually thinking of starting a live music thread, and using them as my first post. Can I do that?
So the new anti-obesity ad campaign has the slogans, 'this is my new thing' and 'let's do it'. I'm now suspecting Blackadder's Lord Flash is behind this: This is my NEW thing! Let's DOOOOOOOO IT!
That’s envy for sure, people csn become vitriolic when they see someone achieving a weight and figure they dream of. Its sad.
This week I needed to buy a new sports bra, since I am quite active even if I'm overweight. I went to the regular sport/active wear stores in town and none of them carried my size in sportswear (XL). This I think is quite a big hurdle. I excersize anyway, but if you want to try and get more fit, and you can't find clothes that fit, it's actually quite depressing, and really brings home the point that training and fitness is only for those who are already fit. Just like I never go to a gym class, because the people there are already very fit and I just feel fat and clumsy when I go there. Instead of just coming up with slogans, what can be done to make it easier for people to actually start new habits when it comes to physical activities?
Most people will get a natural "high" from exercise or other kinds of physical activity, sometimes that in itself is enough of an incentive. If not, then exercising with friends or groups of like-minded folks. You combine the physical activity with some socializing.
This is so true. When you get a “second wind” its exhilarating. Going from feeling like you are aboutvto collapse to being on a cloud ready to run another mile or stretch is intoxicating.
