The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite movie of all time. Didn't care too much for the prequel trilogy, but some of it was OK. I enjoyed TFA and am looking forward to The Last Jedi.

My thoughts on this have shifted over time really. If I base this ranking simply on what we've seen onscreen, (meaning not including EU material, and not simply the "idea" of the character, in terms of "coolness"):

1. Rey (I'm intrigued by her power and her possibilities. She is somewhat "socially immature"-almost like a kid in an adult's body, the innocent and simplistic way she deals with things-as a result of her solitary upbringing. She cares deeply about loved ones and has a strong will and good heart.)

2. Anakin (He is literally the product of the Force, and although he turned to the Darkside, IMO resembles Rey in many ways. Amazing at just about anything he tries, he makes one wish they were as powerful/adept as he is at....everything.)

3. Yoda (Presumably the most powerful Jedi master, his wisdom is unmatched-which I find awesome, as well as how he deals with even the most intense of situations.)

4. Leia (Probably the character who has been thru the most in the saga emotionally, I have an incredible level of respect for her-her power, her sense of honor and principle, as well as her sassy-ness. Having Force powers help too. Truly a product of BOTH her parents!)

5. Kylo Ren (As mentioned before, definitely the most complex of all SW characters. Every time I see him, I'm left wanting to see more-and I am genuinely interested in seeing his fate-whether good or bad. He is probably the one character I'm truly "emotionally invested" in throughout the ST.)

 

Because I have a lot of spare time, I have a list of my top 300 characters. I won't post all 300, but here's my top 100.

If a character seems low, just remember how many characters are in Star Wars, so being in the top 100 is a big achievement. Also, this is just sticking to canon.
