Favorite Disney Ride

Has anyone here gotten a guest preview of Mission Space?

 

at wdwmagic.com, I downloaded the preshow with Gary Sinise, and it looks so AWESOME! I must ride when I go in three weeks! I MUST!

 

Yes, but they've been opening it for guests dude. It's been handed over to the cms for them to test and open it and they're ahead of schedule. Go here for the scoop:

Dude, download the preshow it looks so awesome! This ride'll probably make me sick, but it may be the greatest ride ever! I'll come back with a report if i get to ride.

Apparently, your X2 (X-Men United? ) will be blast through an asteroid field (how original!). You know, I think this ride will make Star Tours look like the Jungle Cruise. So they're really going to have to hurry up and update that ride, huh?

I've only been to the Magic Kingdom but my favorite ride has to be either Space Mountain or Thunder mountain

 

I couldn't remember the name...besides I liked the older version (from when I was a kid)

The fountains in front of "Journey into Imagination" at Epcot aren't exactly a ride...but they are fun (good memories from that place)

 

I think the version you're referring to is Starjets, before they remodeled Tomorrowland.

Okay, so I'm a little late in response, but ... A - freaking - men! What is that crap?! It totally screws up the entire atmosphere of Hollywood Blvd. Fine, if they reeeally thought they needed the Studios to have a new icon, other than the Earful Tower, they could have put it at the entrance or something. Ridiculous.

One of my roommates when I was working at Disney refused to take pictures with the hat in protest.

I'm glad to hear The Great Movie Ride is reopening soon.

 

It is reopened (Great Movie Ride). And yes, that hat is annoying as hell.

 

Good to know. I was dissappointed when it was closed last time I was there, in March.

 

I have a really bad feeling about this. I think I'm going to be dissapointed when I go in three weeks and Mission: SPACE isn't open...

i was 6 when i went to America and i saw this!

i swear i was soo proud when i first saw this!

being a 6 year old you can only image what i huge STAR WARS fan would be feeling like.

i might have been 7.

anyways i was quite young and iremember it.

( i like the bit where they show you how to fasten yourseat belt by a video and on teh video there was Chewbacca in the seats and that moment i was looking all around me to try and see him.. wow eh? its quite sentimental when i say that those were the days.

Yeah! It's got Chewie, Ackbar, Ewoks and pretty much all the aliens from ROTJ (including Teek from the Ewoks: Battle for Endor). I think that ride owed everything to ROTJ. Everything was pretty much based off of Jedi because it was the most family-friendly, I think, of all the films.

Speaking of Kong, are you aware they closed it last September and it's being turned into a coaster called The Mummy's Revenge?

the best memory of that for me is when my Dad kept sticking out him hand toward him and i kept grabbing his arm to pull it away . what can ya say? i was only young [face_smile]

i was scared when teh wicked witch of the west started talking.



also in America ( was is MGM or disney or epcot?) where people in costumes come up to ya , you know, and u can get their autograph that horrible witch type person from 'Snow white' came up to me and offered me some Berries!

i was scared stiff! i was frightened.

 

Kong was indeed a cool ride, but it's gone now. I just wanna know what they did with all the props and stuff inside, especially the giant Kongs.
