Full Series Favourite lightsaber duel

I'm not one of those anxious to see lightsaber duels in the series (unlike on the live-action movies), but since we've had a good share of them on TCW, I would like to ask which one is your favourite.

Mine is without a doubt Kit Fisto vs Grievous, although Dooku vs Nightsisters and Eeth Koth vs Grievous are good candidates too.

 

Without a doubt, my favorite is Anakin vs. Ventress in ARC Troopers. I'm sick of the two dueling so frequently, but it was the most fluid, animated, and complex saber fights in the series. It is cloself followed by Eeth vs Grievous in Grievous Intrigue and Dooku vs. The Nightsisters.

 

First that came to mind was Kit vs Grievous, though I'd have to review a couple of others before saying that was my favorite. That duel was very fluid, and visually it was greatly aided by the constant flow of Kit's head-tails.

 

Definitely Dooku vs. Asajj vs. Savage in Witches of the Mist.

 

I'd say my favourites were Kit vs Grievous, and Dooku vs Nighsisters. Purely because Dooku fought it blind to show off and he duped Ventress at the end with the "GRRRAAAAHHHH!!!!"*ZZZAAAAAPPPPP*

 

And the pajamas. Don't forget the pajamas.

 

Dooku vs. Asajj vs. Savage is best by far......

 

How could I forget Darth Pajamus?

 

Indeed, I was going to mention that. The camera angle, the flow of Kit's head-tails, and the fluid motion of the duel was great. Even if you focus on Grievous only, both motion and animation are very fluid.

 

Gotta go with Master Unduli versus Ventress in Cloak of Darkness, Ventress' maniacal mannerisms puts it over the top for me.

 

Any and all duels with Grievous.

 

Dooku vs the Nightsisters.

And, though its not really a lightsaber duel, my favorite fight throughout the whole series is Obi Wan and Quinlan Vos vs Bane. That whole fight just flowed so naturally.

 

Well there was a split-second "duel" between Obi Wan and Bane

I fully agree though, as general 'fights' go, that one was a definite highlight of the series.

 

Agreed, Obi-Wan and Quinlan versus Cad Bane is easily one of the best fights of TCW so far.

Thanks for correcting me Alexrd. I guess the Obi-Wan and Quinlan Vos vs. Cad Bane and Todo 360 would be my favorite fight in the series but yeah you're right it isn't an actual lightsaber duel. I was thinking that while I was posting but I wasn't sure to be honest.

So I guess that means my favorite traditional lightsaber duel in TCW is definitely the Dooku vs. Ventress and the Nightsisters one.

depends on definition of "duel" if there needs to be Two combatants then yes it was not a duel....

Most usual reason for debates is that people define meanings of same words differently ..... duel is by definition between two combatants so there is not much actual duels in TCW .... few
Obi-Wan vs. Grievous, Anakin vs. Ventress....most duels have extra combatants like third "duelist" or clones or droids or magnaguards participating so where is the border of duel and just a fight is not so easy to define after all.......

But by "lightsaberduel" people usually mean that when jedi and or sith activate their sabers and fight and so they do even in Hunt for Ziro but since Bane has saber only for a brief time.... can we count it as a duel whole figth or was it a brief duel in the middle of the fight

Yeah, there should be no confusion or misinterpretation in this thread, the topic is "lightsaber duels."

 

Gotta go with Yoda vs. Asajj Ventress, in Ambush. If only because of how thoroughly Yoda dominated her.

Most one-sided combat between two Force users in the history of this series. And I love it for that.

 

Also not a lightsaber duel. More like a Force pwnage.

 

Ditto. I still laugh out loud when I see Savage knocking people into walls with pure brute force.

 

Nobody mentioned the dual between Anakin and Ventress on kamino.
