Folks, this thread is not about the SCORES. It's about Star Wars SONGS... like with words. Stuff like The Saga Begins by Weird Al or the disco stuff from the 70s. The EDM mix of Dual of the Fates. That sort of thing.
In that case only 2 come to mind, "Lapti Nek" and its "improved" version "Jedi Rocks", neither of which I really liked. OK, we might count the original ending song of ROTJ, which isn't really a song but does have a few lyrics at the very end. Wasn't it something like "celebrate the love" or similar? Still I don't really count that as a song in the real sense. But in fact I'm glad for that. The last thing I want SW to be is a musical. So I really could have done without those songs in ROTJ. None of them sound very original. I really prefer the instrumental music. Sorry John Williams, while your instrumental themes are amazing, songs with lyrics are not really your strength.
I don't think I've ever listened to the whole song by itself before. I'm suddenly imagining Alex Foley from Beverly Hills Cop in space.
There is so many to choose from I pretty much like very moment of Star Wars music let's see... Star Wars Main Title Luke and Leia Finale (The Rebel Fleet/End Titles) Rey's Theme The Princess Appears (The Hologram/Binary Sunset) Ben's Death and TIE Fighter Attack Jabba Flow Duel of the Fates Anakin's Theme Across the Stars Battle of the Heroes The Rebellion is Reborn Jyn Erso and Hope The Asteroid Field The Imperial March Final Duel / Into the Death Star
I find this strangely hypnotic. Twenty five minutes of music from Jabba's Palace on a continuous loop.
This whole album is really good. My favourite tracks are Lando & The Lady Luck, Thrawn, and Outbound Flight.
