Saga Favourite Star Wars species apart from Human?

That's a tough one. But for me it would be the Taung from pre-Republic coruscant. Just because they become one of my all time favorite Star Wars cultures: Mandalorians.

 

There's actually many great species in the Star Wars lore, when you think about it!

At first I was inclined to say Twi'lek... but I overall like the Wookies more.

Chewie probably helped a lot of fans develop a love for his fellow walking carpets.

 

Funnily enough, I think Alan Dean Foster may have mentioned them by accident, on a whim, the same way he mentions substances like petroleum.

My pick are the Gungans. Mainly for Jar Jar. And, of course, for their fabulous water cities. One can see that they're a bit duck- or platypus-like, too.

Honourable Mention:

The Kaminoans. So graceful and comedically aloof.

 

Hutts are my favourite species. Above humans too.

 

Togrutas. They look poisonous and I love it.

 

Twileks are pretty cool. But favourite of all... probably Mon Calamari. I couldn't tell you why though.

Togrutas and I have absolutely no idea why. I just think they're cool.

 

Ewoks and Yuuzhan Vong.
Ewok have giant tree villages. What's not to love?

 

I like the Chiss [from the EU] and I admit some sympathy for the tribal Ewok culture. For being little sideshow furballs, we get to see a lot of their interesting culture, their ferociousness as warriors, their tenderness, and their ingenuity. I like 'em! [they are definitely a product of Lucas-the-anthropologist]

 

Wookies and Trandosians.

 

Geonosians.

 

Clawdite Who wouldn't want to be able to change your appearance at will.

 

I'll answer 2 ways:
1) for attractiveness, I'd go with Togruta (Ahsoka and Shaak Ti) and Mirialan (Luminara and Barris.) Though Twi'leks are a close 3rd.
2) for coolness, I'd go with Dugs (Sebulba.)

Yeah, it's just one of those bizarre Internet terms.

But yeah, Clawdites are great, and I hope they make an appearance in future SW movies.
