This is always a fun list to compile. And hell, it aids in validating the EU! "That's right. The EU has that kind of power."

I'm going primarily off of two sources: Here and here, plus a few I've thought of that they missed. Please help out and add as many to this list as you can!

As far as the concept goes, I think that there are probably several sub-categories it can be broken into. There's OT characters that the EU said, "Hey, let's kill them," there are prequel Jedi whose Order 66 deaths weren't depicted on screen, leaving their deaths open for the EU to jump on, there are Episode I council members who aren't in Episode II and Lucas probably said to the EU "You can kill them if you want"... ditto Episode II Masters who aren't in Episode III. And then there are other prequel characters who maybe the EU figured nobody would really miss? Like Gardulla. And then there are EU characters who were retconned into being background characters in the films, like Salporin and Roan Shryne.

Anyway. Here's a start. See what you can add!

Sifo-Dyas, confirmed dead in Labyrinth of Evil
    Gardulla the Hutt, Bounty Hunter
    Yaddle, Jedi Quest
    Yarael Poof, Zam Wessell
Cian Shee ? What?s The Story
Eeth Koth --- either Inside the Worlds of Attack of the Clones or the upcoming Grievous Intrigue episode of TCW
    Sun Fac, Republic Commando
    Chancellor Valorum, Dead Ends
Sora Bulq, The Siege of Saleucami
Oppo Rancisis, The Siege of Saleucami
    Adi Gallia, Obsession
    Pablo-Jill, Labyrinth of Evil
Roth-Del Masona, Labyrinth of Evil ... though I think Masona might not have been named in LOE, and was only established to be in that scene in Unknown Soldier
Jocasta Nu, Revenge of the Sith video game
    Barriss Offee, Reversal of Fortune
Luminara Unduli, Revenge of the Sith comic adaptation
    Bultar Swan, Purge
    Koffi Arrana, Purge
    Ma'kis'shaalas, Purge
    Tsui Choi, Purge
    Fang Zar, Dark Lord
    Appo, Dark Lord
    Roan Shryne, Dark Lord
    Even Piell, Streets of Shadow
    Queen Apailana, Battlefront II
Feltipern Trevagg: Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina
Het N? Kik, Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina
Mod Terrik, Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina
Lak Sivrak: Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina
Dice Ibegon, Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina
IG-88: ... several different sources, several different bodies?
    EV-9D9: Tales from Jabba?s Palace
Labria: Tales of the Bounty Hunters... but maybe actually Tatooine Manhunt?
    Ten Numb Rogue Leader
    Salporin, Heir to the Empire
General Veers ? Dark Empire II
Palpatine ? final death in Empire?s End
    Crix Madine Darksaber
    One-Arm (Wampa) ? Darksaber
Jan Dodonna, The New Essential Guide to Characters
Mon Mothma: The New Essential Chronology
    Chewbacca, Vector Prime
    Ackbar: The Unifying Force
Chief Chirpa: The Essential Guide to Alien Species
Luke Skywalker --- confirmed dead in Broken

    Who am I missing?

But all the film characters would be dead by then save from the odd long lived aliens or perhaps the droids.

No confirmation, though --- for all we know, they could all be in stasis, or using some of those life-preserving techniques from Millennium Falcon. Luke's the only confirmed bucket-kicker.

Also I forgot Shaak Tii! GwaaaaaaaaaseruiwgiHOWG.\VNAS\RO. The Force Unleashed.

Hm, I thought Even Piell died in the first Coruscants Nights book, Jedi Twilight?

And speaking of that trilogy, I think Captain Typho died in the second book, Streets of Shadow, when he tried to kill Vader to avenge Padme.

There are several, IIRC, that were killed off in the WTS Databank entries. Olana Chion for one.

There were four IG-88s - A, B, C, and D. B was killed on Bespin by Boba Fett during the events of ESB. C & D went after Fett above Tatooine trying to claim Han Solo's carbonite-encased body during the events of SOTE. Fett blasted both of them. D managed to survive but was later killed by Dash Rendar. A uploaded his consciousness to the Death Star and that was lost when it exploded during RoTJ. A's body was later reactivated and served the Thul family as a bodyguard during the events of Young Jedi Knights.

The second point is arguable, since Typho later appeared in Star Wars: Galaxies. Plus the fact that Streets of Shadow also "killed" Aurra Sing, who re-appears in Tempest almost 60 years later.

The little Xizor action figure man in the background of the TPM race doesn't count, does he?:p

But more seriously: Aks Moe of Malastare was offed during a terrorist attack on Aargau in Holonetnews.

And since this guy's movie status changes every other year: Gilramous Libkath in those Boba Fett novels.

That said, I didn't recall the one-armed wampa dying in Darksaber. Or even being in Darksaber, for that matter. :p

Not exactly sure how much canon SW:Galaxies really has anymore, but Typho died in Jedi Twilight...end of discussion.

Aurra Sing wasn't "killed" in Streets of Shadow, she was defeated.

When Luke and Callista went back to Hoth, One-Arm recognized him and tried to kill him again but Luke got him first.

Ah, I haven't read Coruscant Nights, so I just assumed Streets of Shadow since it has the coolest name. Even if I intentionally get the name wrong to preserve its coolness. Thanks for the additions, everybody. [face_peace]

I suggested Gilramos to Leland Chee after he made that blog, but he was very adamant that the Neimodian in Episode II is Rune Haako. Despite the different voice and appearance.

Ah, irresolute canon. I remember the time they were so adamant to make him Lot Dodd they created that elaborate speeder-crash retcon....

Typho died in Streets of Shadows, not Jedi Twilight.

And I agree on the Aurra Sing part, but they heavily implied that she was killed (didn't they crush her with a building?) Plus I really don't like what Streets of Shadow and The Clone Wars did with Aurra's continuity.

1- Put in prison on Oovo IV (Jedi: Aayla Secura)
2- Released/escapes from prison, joins Cad Bane's team (TCW: Hostage Crisis)
3- Somehow goes back to prison on Oovo IV, Vader releases her, she gets defeated by Jax/Laranth (Coruscant Nights II: Streets of Shadow
4- Goes BACK TO PRISON ON OOVO IV. Escapes when the Yuuzhan Vong attack. Remains free. Hired by Corellia to assassinate Tenel Ka (LOTF 3: Tempest)

So she was put in the same prison three times over the course of 5 years or so? Is Oovo IV like Arkham, with villains escaping or being released every week?

Tempest just featured Threepio speculating that an escape in the YVW could be why there's no record of her release. So, the simplest solution is that he jumped to the wrong explanation.

And she doesn't have a building brought down on her in SOS; she gets chucked into the feed to a disintegrator or something. Which is clearer-cut than a building collapse or a fall off a cliff, but it's still somewhat ambiguous enough to let her get out of it.

Oh yeah... heh. I just kinda copied that one from Tasty's list without even thinking.

Olana Chion is a rather curious case, as the C-canon source that killed her is the same source that simultaneously elevated her into being a G-canon character.

So Sifo is struck from my original list, but Olana, Typho, and Aks More are added. IG-88 gets added a few more times. :) And Xizor is a maybe. :p

Is General Rieekan still alive? I guess we haven't seen him since The Unifying Force. I wonder if he's bitten it yet.

Other beings killed (or, funnily enough, identified and killed) in WTS.

    Rango Tel
Silya Shessaun, Corla Metonae (deleted from ROTS, mind you, don't know if that counts)
    Lushros Dofine
Pello Scrambas (technically... that one's a bit confusing)
Janus Greejatus ("believed to have perished")
Yoxgit (right below the deck gun on the Khetanna)
Theomet Danle (of course, this is a given from AOTC - WTS confirms it, though)

She fell into the hopper after the safety field was turned off. As to how she survived, I'm leaning toward the Force... but was she saved by her own powers or someone else's?[face_thinking]

Silya and Corla are a good question --- I'm not sure if they were ever clear as to which Revenge of the Sith deleted scenes were elevated to G-canon, as opposed to Episode II, which had all of them elevated and their characters given databank entries. One could argue that if Silya and Corla count, then so does Sate Pestage.

Pello Scrambas is a weird case. It's like, he died in the film, but then his what's the story writers was like "He didn't die in that scene where he got shot --- he died a few minutes later!" I guess he could be put in the same category as the final death of Palpatine...

I wouldn't put Theomet Danle on the list, personally. Or Yoxgit, or even Janus Greejatus (assuming that it was the DSII blast that killed Janus) --- that would open up a whole new can of worms, where you could place Motti, Tagge, Yularen, and everyone else on the DSI on that list, as it was some sort of sourcebook that "confirmed" they died in the explosion. Even Jerjerrod, and everyone else that we don't see the corpse of.
