I figure we'd just set a day of the week the new thread for an episode is support to go up and its just whoever puts it up first. I think LACWAC Television can handle that.

I'd be happy to do it first then. Where do you get the image and summary from?

I was thinking, "'SMH, Sydney Morning Herald, huh?" for a second there. But yeah, as GRRM says, 'art is not a democracy'; we don't have any right to know about the films, not until (and if) we settle into seats in the theatre.

Lol, wow. It is kinda stupid to expect info on a film which hasn't even started shooting yet. So spoiled... Hopefully Disney doesn't start to think of the SW fanbase like Nick did of Jhonen Vasquez fans.

    Nice!

Regarding some of them (like that first one), I can see it being amazing... but only with a flyswatter.:p

It's so typical: Tons of meteors can be seen tonight, but the only things I see are - tons of clouds.

That's a beautiful list Circular Logic. I'm inspired to throw together my own list of places I think would be neat to see.

Amboseli Nation Park (Kenya), nothing like elephants with Kilimanjaro in the background.

Although if I could pick just one place to see in Africa it would be the Kidepo Valley in Uganda which looks raw and sublime.

Now I gotta speak up for my state since I don't have to go very far to find amazing beaches. This is Sieta Key reputed to have the world softest white sand.

And my home state. Nothing like fall in the Great Smoky Mountains
    [IMG]

But I like my parties to and last time I was in Miami I got mugged. Hope things would go better across the pond in Ibiza
    [IMG]

And still across the pond the real life Island of Sodor, Isle of Man.

And Besseggen, Norway (Sorry, this one is large, its in my wallpaper collection)

Trains and beautiful scenery just go together, particularly where steam is involved. The narrowgauge Durango and Silverton.

    And thrill rides. Cedar Point.

Then we'll round it off with Santa Catarina
    [IMG]

    And Sri Panwa.

That's what happened with the transit of Venus. Its hard to stargaze in Florida, even when its clear its so hazy from the humidity at night. Its very difficult to focus and I get few good moments at high power even under dark conditions at the beach during sea turtle season (lights are off at the time a year they come on shore to lay eggs).

I'm back in Michigan (where I'm from) for a week to visit friends and family before going back to Idaho. I have internet that reliably works! I'm so thrilled. In Idaho my internet did not work half the time. I feel like I've rejoined the 21st century.

Not a whole lot to do in Idaho.

Went to see Wolverine yesterday. That movie was way better than I was expecting. Still not quite on par with X-Men, First Class, or X2, but way better than either X3 or Origins.

Other than that, I'm within driving distance of several parks. So not much else to do but go out and photograph more wildlife for the umpteenth time.

I liked the way this picture of an Elk at Grand Teton National Park turned out. Had to leave at 4:00 am to get there by 6:30, while the animals were still active in the early morning. Not really the time of year for good wildlife viewing (animals stay elusive in the forests during the heat of Summer), or so I hear.

I've seen about half of what I want to see.

    Elk
    Moose
    Bison
    Pronghorn
    Pika
    Mule Deer
    Mountain Goat
    Bighorn Sheep
    Brown Bear
    Black Bear
    Wolf
    Mountain Lion

Wolves and Mountain Lions are apparently exceedingly rare. With there being like 20 mountain lions in all of Yellowstone - since they have ridiculously huge ranges and are not social. Would be ecstatic to see one, but keeping my hopes realistic. Hoping to cross out mountain goats, bighorn sheep, and at least a bear species by the time I leave Idaho for good. I've thought about cheating and going to the Grizzly Discovery Center of West Yellowstone, a quasi-zoo where wild bears and wolves that have grown too comfortable around people are removed from the greater Yellowstone area and put into captivity (an alternative to putting the animals down).

Oh good we're all talking about traveling. :D I just got back from a week-long trip to Barcelona. In total I took about 800+ pictures, so I'll try to sort through them today to find the best for posting.

What took you to Barcelona? Spain is one of those places I'd like to go at some point in my life, but I don't even know why, or what people do while they are there.

I'd also love to go to Japan and on a safari at an African national park like Gorongosa (Mozambique); Krueger (South Africa); or Serengeti (Tanzania).

Africa and Asia mostly. In Europe, I'd aim for countries around the Mediterranean like Greece, Italy, Spain, France (southern), etc. They seem to have more expansive and rich histories IMO (and I'm a history nerd). The reason I would be interested in Japan for instance is that I would love to see the castles there for instance from the Warring States period. Going on a shopping spree in Tokyo holds little appeal, and I tend to not be a fan of big cities :p South Korea would also be interesting, even though I know very little about the history or culture.

TaradosGon : For Japan, I assume you'd also want to see some temples and shrines together with those castles. You'd want to go to places like Kyoto, Nara, and Nikko. Tokyo has some of that mixed in too, but yeah, it's a very big city. :p

I said I'd post pics and I meant it. :p Here's the highlights from my trip.

This is La Pedrera, a mansion designed by Antoni Gaudi. It's extremely unique, especially the rooftop.

Here's the main attraction of Barcelona, the Sagrada Familia. This church has been under construction for over 100 years, and still has a lot of work left.

And here's the views of the city from the top.

Here's a really cool attraction- the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc. It was wicked cool to see, as the fountain changed formation and colors to the tune of various songs.

This was a really cool place- Park Güell, another Gaudi design.

And then here is the Arc de Triomf, which came after the one in Paris. It is the entrance of a park that ends in the Barcelona Zoo, which has a great variety of animals.

And then my favorite part of the trip- climbing Montserrat. This was unlike any mountain I've ever seen, and had breathtaking views at the summits.

    And the view.

Cool, but the space required to just park a whole bunch of bikes regularly would be a lot less than the space taken up by that rotating parking thing. :p
