How much you gotta wonder is remnants of the new republic, plus what ever the resistance had manage to acquire plus the galaxy finally saying “you know what first order? Screw you and the horse you rode in on.” Cause this fleet looks like it’s basically the galaxy saying “we need to fight for our right to be free.”

 

I hope we get a Return of the King style..."For Leia" in here.

torra's ship looks like a car with wings attached to it. i don't if my kid cousin is supposed to make car noises or airplane noises. lol.

 

I spy a Auzituck-class gunship next to a GX-1 Short Hauler in the fleet, also there a droves of those Bunkerbuster looking ships. From the looks of the engines on that ship on the left it may be a different class than the regular Bunkerbusters. I went througn and in one frame found 15 bunkerbusters/whatever that other variant is.

Also don't forget the Shadowcaster! Or another one in its class


Looks like some kind of huge Mon Cal ish ship on the far right in the back

 

yeah i think we're going to have the space battle to end all space battles in this one.

 

Full Trailer is out, and yeah that shot of the fleet is the only one we get, damn. Though there are plenty of other ship shots.

This is a first order Star Destroyer they're riding on (look at the shield generator or whatever it is on the bridge), but I don't think it's a Resurgent.

The modified IMP-Is appear to have IMP-2 style bridges

There's a Dornean gunship in there too, and a U-wing, and at least one MC75...

... and elsewhere in the trailer, lots and lots of Hammertong-style ISD-Is, and an absolutely awesome shot of a Corellian Corvette...

this is my favorite shot so far of the trailer. this battle is going to be amazing.

 

looks like the hull of a Resugent-Class, and judging by its trajectory its going to attack the Imperial classes?

There is at least 1 Mc-75 with it's long bridge spire, to the right of the Hammerhead under the Falcon.

 

Do we need spoiler tags for the new trailer? Well, just in case.

Too bad they're going back to the old Imperial-class Star Destroyer, but that's not a surprise after the last trailer with the Star Destroyer fleet.

The Falcon flying in front of what's presumably the Resistance fleet, that shot looks really really nice. Kind of looks like something out of Rogue One actually, but then its clear the galaxy ran out of imagination a few years after Endor. I hope their redo of the Battle of Endor looks epic.

The Nebulon-B's in the trailer seem to have the bridge window as seen in Rebels.

Pretty sure they're actually the Rebels models directly (obviously with added detail and greebling). That's how they made the Ghost model for R1, and if memory serves they did the same for the other Rebel ships in that movie too, Nebulon-B included. The big bulbous section on the top is another good indicator, it's a bit more rounded just like the Rebels models. Willing to bet that's how they made the Lancer-class Pursuit Craft, Pelta, and GX1 Short Hauler models in this shot as well, seems like they just took everything we saw in Rebels and added details to save money.

 

I am more intrigued by these ships...

They kinda look like they could be DP20s, but they seem to be way to big, and be missing the middle section. Also the two rows of engines.

I think these might be some bigger Corellian cousin.

 

So what do we think about the blockade runner in the trailer? Is it possible it actually is the Tantive IV???

I find it hard to believe it could survive destruction

 

Also...Do we think that these ships are in fact New Republic leftovers? I really hope they just arent PSF's....I want to see actual NR roving fleets that join the fray. That being said, this massive fleet reminds me of the staging area at the end of the Yuuzhan Vong war...the entire galaxy united against a single threat.

The majority of these ships are reused or modified assets from Rebels and Rogue One, which is why the Pelta has a "bridge" in the front like Phoenix Home.

I'm not sure if someone mentioned it before but the Consular-class cruisers has different engines.

If there are more reused assets out there I'd love to see some TCW-era Republic and Separatist ships, and the star destroyer in the background someone mentioned kind of looks like an Acclamator

I kinda glossed over it the first time, but I believe this is a new class of cruiser. It's got wings so it's not Home One, but it's too bulky to be the Liberty. Not to mention it seems to have a lot more "blisters" than a traditional MC80.
