    I'm much obliged.

    The "Vertical Corvette" can be seen in the Art of TFA's concept art for the Hosnian Fleet. I count at least 4 Baleen-class freighters. The Nebulon-BFs are pretty big. Assuming CGI avoids the compositing issues of the bluescreen age, the Neb-BF measures at least 250m, when compared to the 40m+ tall Hammerhead that site before it:

    What I really enjoyed about this trailer the most is the massive number of ships that the Resistance was able to amass. This movie may have the most ships yet, and thats not counting everything that The First Order and Palp's has. This movie may have the single most space battle of any movie ever

    @Ton_G - what you did, and what @Fire Dog did, was great. Also, I love that Admiral got himself a whole SlashFilm article. :D

    Yikes, yeah, that's a big ship. :eek:

    I thought at first that the tiny Nebulon-C below the main "BF" was in front as well, but I think that's just a trick of the greeblies...

    @Kris7 - aye, I remember you. :D

    Brought back in by the wall of ships in the new trailer? :D

    @AdmiralNick22 's Slashfilm article mention:

    "The thread continues for six more tweets and 8 more hours, with this Star Wars fan identifying at least 25 more ships. Which is only a fraction of the ships that are present in this shot, but 25 more than a normal, rational person would be able to spot."

    [face_laugh]

    EDIT- Great tracking on the ship list so far, Ewok.

    Thanks for that Ewok now I'm gonna get blamed when the count is off [face_laugh]

    Couple things I'd like to add concerning the possible YV-865 Aurore-class freighter aka Zygerrian slave ship

    There are notable differences when looking at the "Bridge" and the nacelles which are placed much higher on the hull on the ships in the trailer.

    ( My count is 3 of that class )

    Concerning our Wookie Ships I'll let you guys decide.

    I still need to do a count of Vakbeor's and Nebulon-C's but everything else on that list looked good :)

    The count of ships is staggering... I spent a good chunk of time on Twitter the past 72 hours analyzing the crap out of it. The count as of now is as follows:

    1 = MC75/New MC (5)
    2 = MC80A (2)
    3 = Neb-C (10)
    4 = Bunkerbuster (17+)
    5 = Hammerhead (13+)
    6 = Pelta (7+)

    Couldn't we just ask the filmmakers to document all the props and CGI and whatever they're using to make this and compile it into a behind-the-scenes reel?

    @Ton_G

    Most folks on Twitter think that #10 is this the GX1 Short Hauler:

    Based upon the model for sure, but heavily modified. Angular fittings have been removed from the front of the ship, the cockpit removed, and the entire fore-bow has been widened and reshaped to resemble the boat-like flat-top and curved under-belly of an MC75--and a collar like the MC75. Moreover, the hull plating resembles the texture of the MC75s in the same shot.

    Still not sure what the spoiler rule is - tagging to be safe...

    @Fire Dog - I'm not sure how "eight (or more)" can be off when you had eight ID'd for certain already. They're up to over a dozen of them now, though. :p

    As to the "Wookiee" and "Zygerrian" types, my thinking here is based on the way the CGI for the GX1 has been modified, as @Ton_G has pointed out. Perhaps we should see these as "modern successor" designs? Further kudos to both Ton and Admiral for the beautiful work they've done extending the list so thoroughly....

    ... and to @Tuskin38, who posted while I had this reply in draft - good catch! :D And there are two more Free Virgilias behind the freighter in the middle (you can see the distinctive upper bridge and dorsal turret), plus other ships at the back, possibly including another Neb-BF.

    There are also a lot of extra background ships at the bottom as the camera pans down, which haven't been included in this "master shot". I'm not sure what the rules about screenshots are, but I count another Erevana, at least three additional "Nebulon BFs", several more Free Virgilia-class corvettes and examples of the Phoenix Home, the Nebulon-C, the KDY cargo frigate and the SF-17...

    Provided we only post images of the ships/discuss the ships vs. anything plot specific, I'm okay with us not using spoiler tags on analysis of this shot.

    Here's a comparison illustrating the differences between the depictions of the GX1 Short Hauler. I have highlighted the structural changes and offered a small texture comparison. Obviously derivative, but whoever at ILM worked this little guy up did more than a realization of the animated model.

    Apparently, according to the Star Wars Show, the Colossus appears somewhere in that shot. Can anybody pick it out?

    Still hunting. Found another MC75ish for you, Nick!

    1 = MC75/New MC (6)
    2 = MC80A (2)
    3 = Neb-C (15+)
    4 = Bunkerbuster (21+)
    5 = Hammerhead (17+)
    6 = Pelta (9+)
    7 = CR-Vertical (5+)
    8 = Consular Gunship (7+)
    9 = Neb-BF (7)
    10 = MiniMonCal (4+)
    11 = Vakbeor (11)

    Ok, I know I shouldn't double post, but one last foray into the edges of the screen, following @Thrawn McEwok, gives these numbers for the vessels I listed above:

    1 = MC75/New MC (9)
    2 = MC80A (3)
    3 = Neb-C (19+)
    4 = Bunkerbuster (24+)
    5 = Hammerhead (21+)
    6 = Pelta (12+)
    7 = CR-Vertical (6+)
    8 = Consular Gunship (9+)
    9 = Neb-BF (14)
    10 = MiniMonCal (5+)
    11 = Vakbeor (15)
    12 = Dornean Gunishp (4)

    [IMG]

    Those last MC75ish and MC80Aish are tentative, but the shapes check out in the case of the latter, and the underslung bridge tower is too unique not be counted in the case of the former. The MC80Aish could be a Pelta, but I don't think so, it appears a little softer in its shapes.

    I think that'll be all from my hunting for a while. Plenty of "Funk Ships" and Eravanas and all the little ships to count, besides the individuals like the Neb-B, the Corellian "Not Bunkerbuster", and the Ghost

    I wonder if the Eravanas are escort carriers. They always struck me as a freighter design that could be easily turned into a carrier, with the big hanger and all

    Not yet, at any rate. Notice, although that fleet shot seems to be comprehensive, we see no CR90s or fighters. We may yet see them, especially since Lucasfilm had a design before giving it to FFG.

    Good catches, @Ton_G !

    I had a hunch there were more MC cruisers in that shot. I pretty much agree with most of the ones you point out, though I do think 1-2 (especially the 3rd MC80A) are 50/50. Either way, nice to see the fleet has a steely spine of Mon Cala warships!

    On the Star Wars Show they mentioned people may have spotted the Colossus and the Ghost so since the Ghost has already been pointed out, can someone point out the Colossus?

    ***
    Questions on the ships identified, sorry pictures are blocked on work computer and it's hard to see the picture with the numbers on my phone so maybe I'm asking dumb questions. Plus, maybe you can dumb this down for non fleet junkies.

    1 = MC75/New MC (9)
    2 = MC80A (3)
    I'm guessing MC stands for Mon Calamari? And they're just the two different designs? Is the 80A in ROTJ? Where do the numbers come from: 75 vs 80?

    3 = Neb-C (19+)
    What's that stand for and where in canon have they appeared before?

    4 = Bunkerbuster (24+)
    Has this appeared in canon before?

    5 = Hammerhead (21+)
    I'm assuming this is the Hammerhead Corvette as seen in Rogue One, right?

    6 = Pelta (12+)
    7 = CR-Vertical (6+)
    8 = Consular Gunship (9+)
    9 = Neb-BF (14)
    10 = MiniMonCal (5+)
    11 = Vakbeor (15)
    12 = Dornean Gunishp (4)
    Have these appeared in canon before, what's their notable location/use, and what's CR mean?

    ***

    For example, can you add a little color so instead of saying
    • YT-1300 Corellian light freighter (1)
    • MC80A (3)
    Can you say
    • YT-1300 Corellian light freighter i.e. Millennium Falcon (1)
    • MC80A i.e. ship resembling "Home One" from ROTJ (3)
    Thank you. The hard work you are all doing is appreciated, and I'm glad it's getting noticed.
