The enemies fighters are rather neat! Makes me think of a cross between a WW2 fighter and a hotrod.

We got a nice closeup of Home Ones bridge.

I'm still not sure what size they've gone with for Home One, but it looks to be at least twice the length of the new NR cruiser. The bridge may point to a smaller size (2km), but the forward port side hangar may indicate a larger size; the hangar is at least 80m wide(Ghost appears to take up half the hangar).

Also the fleet around Home one is pretty large. There's at least 5 of the new NR cruiser, 6 Hammerhead Corvettes, 5 CR90s and 3 Nebulon-B frigates.

The Eye of Sion is confirmed as a giant hyperspace ring and has 7 hyperspace engines (I thought they said 9 in the previous episode). It also armed with what looks like the same guns as Gideons Arquitens.

 

Yep, there's no way Home One is 1,200m. The Corellia shot of the new cruiser gives me 950~1,000m, and the concept art yields around 1,200m (X-wings seem to be correctly sized relative to the hangars). Home One is clearly larger.

 

There's a scene in Before the Awakening where Leia meets Poe aboard Home One and gives him a Resistance mission. It's actually a little odd because scenes before and after take place aboard Echo of Hope, and it almost feels like the reference to Home One was in error. It makes me wonder if Greg Rucka originally intended Echo of Hope to be Home One at some early point in the writing process, and the name was later changed (with one stray appearance of "Home One" missed during editing). But yes, erroneously or not, BTA establishes that Home One is part of the Resistance fleet. Where it is during the events of TFA / TLJ is unknown.

 

The Resistance ran out of fuel and had to make do with the four ships they had in TLJ. Home One, Echo of Hope, the other Nebulon-Cs, that CR90 and several GR-75s probably at some depot somewhere.

 

So are those 2 different fighters of do Shin and Marrok just fly modified versions? same basic body but Shin/Marrok have something on the end of the wings and the others have a downward pointed tail.

 

Home One is def a bigger lady than some folks thought based on scaling in Ahsoka. The new Vesper-type cruisers aren't small either. You all know I'm not exactly a scale obsessed fleet junkie, but it's fun to speculate.

I think they are just flying modified version. The wings, tail and nicer paint job look to be the only differences.

Is Home One bigger in canon than it was in Legends?

 

Morgan seemingly likes golden paint job pretty much, since even her mercenaries and minions' ships have one.

 

Nope, both are like half the size depicted by the ROTJ model.

 

The Starforge is another one of those things that changes size depending on the scene.

A few cruisers have grey patches(?) on their hulls. And in typical space shot fashion, discerning ship size is a massive chore... Closest thing is the third shot with the Neb-B, which looks to be around 1/3 the cruiser's length.

Just tell us dammit!

 

Apart from the episode being brilliant...the 900 or so metre length seems legit if its around three times the size of a Nebulon B, right?

 

Yes, 900m~1000m probably.

And yes, one can't help but notice that the Star Forge seems to be given different scaling depending on the story. Visual depictions aren't sufficient enough for gauging the full size of it, but just what we see in the game itself makes it clear that the only larger station in any work is the Second Death Star.

It must be pointed out that even some of the wreckage was enough to form a ring around Lehon by the time of Dath Bane, and that was just some of the wreckage. At least as much had been scattered all over that System by the explosion. By determining the size of the planet, we can get a rough idea of the size of the Forge wreckage forming the ring, and from there a good idea of the original mass of the Forge when it was intact.

There's also the justified fan speculation that because the Forge was made from the same technology as the Star Maps, which slowly repaired themselves over time, that the Star Forge was also slowly repairing itself. A bit surprising that Bane never realized it...

Love this cross-section art. If anyone has links to more official (or fan-made) work like this that isn't in the usual Incredible Cross-Sections books I would be extremely grateful

 

I count at least 12 of the new Cruisers when Hera departs form the fleet. Quite a large formation.

 

And then all the frigates and corvettes as well...which is why I said that Hera should just have sent a small task force to Denab to investigate.

 

We'll probably see that fleet (or just the 3 cruisers in that yet-to-be-seen trailer shot) get obliterated by Thrawn.
