Its neat that the Firefly made a cameo in a Star Wars comic, and in Battlestar Galactica episode as well.

I also like how the Firefly-class's model designation in the 'verse is K64, Model 03. Surron StarTech produced the L19 freighter, and the Firefly-class's general appearance might well be reconciled as a Surronian design like the L19, Conqueror-class assault ship, and Starlight-class light freighter.

    Why Surronian?

Because Surronian designs are always rather exotic looking.

Well, that asymmetrical one that looks like the head of a hatchet is certainly kind of... different and offbeat.

Let's not forget this rather Firefly looking ship from the Clone Wars:

I mean that what I have seen so are most SW ships different and offbeat

I guess what I was getting at was that, even though lots of SW ships are strange and offbeat looking, most are at least mostly symmetrical, which made the asymmetrical one seem especially strange and offbeat to me.

The Starlight-class is something of an anomaly in Surron StarTech's lineup - it was a collaboration between Rendili StarDrive and Surron StarTech designed as a cheap light freighter. Their other designs had lower production numbers and were of better quality. As far as how the Firefly-class might fit in, it does share something of an insectoid appearance with the Conqueror-class and L19.

Anyways, to start a new topic:

What do you think would be the Imperial equivalent of the New Republics New-class Defender Programs (namely- the Nebula Class Star Destroyer and the Endurance Class fleet Carrier)

My guess would the imperial solution of using the Allegiance Class or Secutor Class or possibly a heavily modified ISD 2 or some just some battle cruiser from a local defense fleet or fleet *cough*cough* Marvel Comic battle cruisers

Hmm, the SOTG 2007 edition said some SSDs were used as dedicated starfighter carriers. The Empire also had Venator and Lucrehulks as TIE flight academies. Other than the escort carrier, that's the carriers I know of in the Empire. Plus the Gozanti pocket carrier we'll see in Rebels. :p

Other than that, I agree with your suggestions, especially since the Nebula was meant to tackle Star Destroyers and even an SSD (which would be something like the Allegiance, I assume).

Seems abit odd to have a SSD as a dedicated carrier since its fighter capacity is already massive, maybe its a different SSD

    Thanks for the suggestions

I know Im late on this but what people forget about fighters, ground vehicles, and Star ships in general is that a huge galactic government especially like the Empire has Millions of member planets all with their own designs, Planetary Militias and Standing Militaries make up alot of the Imperial Military especially under the Moffs utilizing local Military's which would be easier to move around and attract less attention than Premier Imperial ships and designs,

I.E. what do you think is more noticeable to some Buercrate on Corusant reviewing some fleet movements a bunch of AT-ATs or just some locally designed Tanks

I just wish we would see those local forces a lot more often, I guess if they still exist in the new canon.:)
