pretty sure the composite is just photographed or copy pasted differently

It's not a bad look, honestly. I could be okay with people using that as an actual design.

Could work as an alternate correllian ship class

Yeah. You could even make it a CR80. We have never had any mention of one after all.

So I saw someone postulate a question that I think would be really interesting to explore here: what if there was one Subjugator present at the Battle of Coruscant? Would the battle turn out any differently?

Personally I feel it would certainly make a difference but the blasts take a while to charge up again and given how tight the battle was many Venators may be hit but along with them would be countless Munificents as well. I think the battle would change course for a time, but given the amount of starfighters and the superiority of their pilots the Pubs would pull through and take down the Subjugator the same way they did the Malevolence and wreck it by taking down the main ion cannon and the Republic fleet had enough numbers to snap back. Not to mention any defense platforms or even planetside weapons that could assist once the ion cannon is destroyed and knocks the Subjugator out for a time.

It would certainly be a sight to behold.

It could've given them more of an advantage, however I feel the Seperatists could've won with what they had. But as you know they weren't there to crush the Republic fleet. With a Subjugator they surely would've done more damage to the Republic fleet, but there objective would remain unchanged and they wouldve still retreated. However assuming the Subjugator escaped it could've kept one more world from falling in the Outer Rim Sieges.

EDIT: Assuming the Subjugator actually made it to Utapau with Grievous, that would have huge consequences.

let's throw some other ship builders a bone. Since nu canon it seems like everything is CEC this or Incom that or Kuat something or other.

It does seem like that, but this particular ship shares design cues with other CEC designs. There's plenty of other ships to pass around, like the ESB extras.

You Dornean fans are gonna love this:
Around 40 minutes in they start talking about a few of the ships.

With the recent resurgence of the Dornean Gunship, I really want to actually see inside one for once.

I still keep Braha'tok and Torktarak as the name of the two ships present at Endor despite being the Legends names.

I know it's not a ship but I couldn't think of a good thread for it. Here's our first good look at the First Order walker from the upcoming On the Front Lines book.

EDIT: Actually the more I look at it, the less it looks like what we saw in the movie...

That walker having that gun reminds me of this
    [IMG]
But yeah it looks ok. I wish it looked more different (which the actual one might) the TFA ones did nothing but they where really nice cause they looked so different than the original. Also I know they are scaling it down a bit but I think someone on this forum was right with the ball turret being a one man gunner position. I do wish it was just a Corvette class but whatever. This gives me hope though that there will be like 10 or more and they will be a defensive wall in space. I want freaking hundreds in ep 9. Like FO attacks Coruscant and they have a giant fleet shielding it.

Star Bomber eh? Cool. Considering all the world war 2 influence in star wars, there are surprisingly few heavy bomber types.

When I saw it was called "Resistance Bomber", I immediately jumped back to the ROTJ novelisation which mentioned Corellian (or Rebel) bombers.

Once I figured out it was probably much too small to be a Starhawk, I was kind of hoping for something like this.

Hmm, I guess the First Order has
three walkers of likely similar sizes. Interesting. Too much, I'd say.

So I have been reading Legacy and man do those shuttles just feel off to me. I don't really know why but they just feel ugly.
I think it is the elevator glass thing and the fact that it is so tall even when flying which makes feel impractical cause the troops inside are gonna be more scrunched up and on different levels which makes deployment harder. That and the wings just feel off. They look to thin to be practical with that thing.

That variant is actually better http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Unidentified_Nune-class_shuttle_variant

My thoughts on the LEGO revealed designs:

I really like the bomber design. You can see elements of other designs like the B-wing, but it's still it's own unique thing. I know it's hard to tell scale given it's Lego and the only other time we've seen it is a brief trailer shot, but I think it's slightly larger than the typical fighter.

The new AT-AT? I'm not impressed. At all. While I can see some slight design changes, IMO it's still the same basic design, just like what they did for the "new" TIEs. It's like they want people to compare it to ESB. At least make it more insect or crustacean like. The AT-PO pictured up there wasn't my favorite design, but it's a new look. Give that the screen time it deserves.

I could have sworn I heard a rumor some where that the new walkers were nicknamed "gorilla walkers". So either a) the rumors were wrong b) there's another type of walker we haven't seen yet or c) someone has no idea what gorillas look like. I guess you could maybe say the large "fore arms" and feet make it look like it's dragging its knuckles, but it's a stretch.

Have we seen any prefixes like USS or HMS that are used in front of ship names in the GFFA?

I googled "star wars ship prefix" and found this Wookieepedia forum post. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Forum:Ship_prefixes?

So we have three other examples:

    • The TIE Fighter Strategy Guide refers to the VSD (Victory Star Destroyer) Protector and SHU (shuttle) Omalut in the narrative section.
    • Galaxy Guide 8 gives us the NRSS (presumably "New Republic Star Ship" or "Scout Ship") Founder.
    • The cartoon in the Holiday Special refers to the RS (presumably "Rebel Ship") Revenge. Jeez between this and "Revenge of the Jedi", what was up with early Star Wars trying to have the good guys obsessed with revenge?

thought it might be a false alarm because the front of the box looks like a Resurgent-class ship:
