I looked around on their website for a bit, and didn't find it, but then while looking at another MR product, I saw a link at the bottom of the page for a Maul double FX for 199.99. But when I went to it, it said it had been removed from their website on 1/4/05. I guess they weren't supposed to put it up yet.

The big neck used to bug me, but now that I actually have a ROTJ Luke, It's not even an issue. Fact is that saber spins with ease. Really fun to swing around. Too bad UltraSWG can't do conversions on the 6 battery sabers. Not enough room I guess. I'm sending my Ani ROTS for his multi color conversion tomorrow so I'll get an even brighter green saber one way or another!

Oh, by the way. Hi all. First post here, but I've been reading this thread for a while.

Yeah I like the Luke ROTS fat neck more and more,it grows on you.
The hilt and weight of the ROTJ Luke is also great for spins.

TSV just e-mailed me that he's got that EntertainmentEarth price beat - no surprise. He's just waiting on the approval from MR to put the pre-order on his site (as all authorized MR dealers are required to do)... which he confirmed he was told would be in February, but will confirm to see if the date has been moved.

TSV is also going to be offering something quite exclusive as well. [face_whistling] Be sure to check TSV regularly.

^^^ Too bad TSV's Splash page sucks donkey balls. Someone should tell thier webmaster to actually make a banner to click to get into thier site.

Webmasters who suck, should be executed immediately.

I just checked myself, and got this:

"STAR WARS DARTH MAUL DOUBLE LIGHTSABER FX

The item number 'MRSW214' is no longer available. This item was removed from our website on Wednesday, January 04, 2006."

And yet, when I checked my order status, there it was, clear as day, still there. The item status is "back order"...so I assume my order is still placed.

Item Number Name Shipping Date Price Qty Ext. Price
MRSW214 Star Wars Darth Maul Double Lightsaber FX April 2006 $199.99 1 $199.99
    Subtotal: $199.99
    Shipping & Processing: $24.00
    Order Total: $223.99
    Payments: $0.00
    Order Balance: $223.99

And since I'm not surprised that TSV, as always, will have the price beaten, I'll most likely be cancelling my order with EE.com as soon as JD gets the pre-order page up. I can't wait for this thing....

I think I just got elecrocuted by my saber:rolleyes:
Was swinging it as I do, and my hand was on the chrome section of the Vade and got a shock along the join between thumb and index finger. But it could have easily been a sprain the way it felt, but afterwards it stung like a shock. Not a severe one, but a quick minor jolt.
I always get elecrocuted, whether it be on banisters, or simple railings, next I'll be stuck down by lightning[face_skull]

    A fast question:

I hear if you duel the sabers get some small marks in the blades. I guess you can see the marks when the saber is off, but are they still noticeable when it's on with light?

I was guessing that when the saber is on, with the brightness of the LEDs they won't be very noticeable, but I might be wrong.

Depends on how hard you clash them and how much damage you do. Some minor scraches and scuffs won't be seen, but a deep scrape will show.
