Don't get too excited though. :p

    After knocking out the occasional http://search.lego.com/searchResults.asp?q=harry+potter+creator]Harry Potter LEGO computer game, it appears that the Star Wars LEGO franchise is finally in for similar treatment.

    Discussion on the http://www.fbtbforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=1875]From Bricks to Bothans Forums. has revealed that a Star Wars game is in the works http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/crazymaniac479/new2004products/starwars_software_2005.jpg]Erlebe, wie Anakin Skywalker zur Dunklen Seite der Macht wechselt. Ab Sommer 2005.", and indeed "http://home.online.no/~sjanha/bilder/starwars.jpg]Opplev hele historien om Anakin Skywalkers fall til Den mørke siden. Kommer sommeren 2005."

    So, hooray! Except if you don't like gaming. Or Star Wars. Or LEGO.

    Or if you own a GameCube.

    Why would anyone want to play LEGOS on their X-Box, or whatever?

    I agree. It would be like playing a cartoony Star Wars. And I don't mean Clone Wars-cartoony. I mean worse; really cartoony.

    Sithy gives this game a definitive, "could be good, could stink worse than Nadim's rotting corpse".

    Wait and see, folks.

    If u look at that screenshot, it actually looks nearly identical to the old Episode 1 game, except with legos.

    Should I be concerned that Obi-wan's Lightsaber is green?

    I think the guy with the green saber is Qui-Gon. So, does that mean this game would be the entire Star Wars saga LEGOized?

    > Should I be concerned that Obi-wan's Lightsaber is green?

    No, you should me more concerned you can't tell your Qui-Gon from your Obi-Wan LEGO minifigures. :p

    [image=http://www.fbtb.net/sets/7204/7204_box.jpg]
    Qui-Gon

    [image=http://www.fbtb.net/sets/7203/7203_box.jpg]
    Obi-Wan

    Given the imagery so far is all Ep 1 droid control ship, I hazard a guess that you'll play through key scenes of all 6 movies, taking the role of the most relevant character in that scene.

    Or, more likely, given the tagline 'Experience the entire story of Anakin Skywalker's fall to the Dark Side', perhaps it wil just follow key scenes in episodes 1, 2 & 3. If it does OK, maybe an OT game will then follow?

    Edit: Bah. Someone beat me to the Qui-Gon thing while I was looking for the pictures.

    Why'd the story get pulled from the TFn Games section? Do you know something we don't, Night? :confused:

    Apparently Phil Wise pulled the story because "from bricks to bothans" is a bad link.

    ie. a competitor's site to rebelscum?

    For ****'* sake. [face_plain]

    I guess it all depends on the forum time settings, but I'd say the fbtb site deserves the link.

    A TFn search on "fbtb" brings up over 30 links. Go figure. TFn misses loses the scoop because of Phil Wise's ego.

    Ridiculous.

    What's the recommended playing age for that game?

    Doesn't this reinforce the truth plain and simple: SW is gearing more for younger markets as time goes by?

    I mightbe cynical in this, but if your customers are hooked on your product as young as possible, they're more inclined to keep following it for more eyars than older generationers.

    Well, many young kids like Star Wars, so why not make some games that are targeted at young kids?

    Meh, not really my type of game, but if it turns out to be decent, maybe I'll buy it. (For my younger brother of course. :p)
