Books A/V Galaxy’s Edge: A Crash of Fate by Zoraida Córdova

No luck finding it here in either Smiths or Waterstones today. I already have an Amazon UK list going for the end of the month - if I haven't found it locally by then I'll add it on to the order.

 

Only the US get the hardback edition, you're unlikely to find it outside of the internet in the UK.

 

Thanks. I'm not so desperate for it that I have to have it tomorrow. Some of the stuff on my Amazon list doesn't come out til nearer to the end of August.

 

On this one I'd recommend moving quicker, as the US copies tend to dry up on this side of the Atlantic.

Doesn't mean you wouldn't be able to nab one via Ebay though, did that on Solo: Most Wanted.

 

I can wait - it would be different if it was an adult novel. Then I'd nab it.

 

When I read that the characters were named Izzy and Jules, I thought they were both girls, as my sister-in-law Julia is called Jules for short. Maybe the author is just a fan of Jules Verne.

 

For those that have read it, do you guys like this book better or Lost Stars?

 

I’m a little below half and no, Lost Stars is better.

That’s not saying it’s a bad book. Just different. Less ambitious in scope.

My copy has arrived, it's a neat, nice looking volume - certainly worth £12.71

 

I even asked Zoraida on twitter but she didn’t respond. I’m not sure if I saw the name Nate during one of the SDCC panels or something.

Today's extract for Delilah S. Dawson's Black Spire puts the book before A Crash of Fate

Since we see already a Resistance outpost in ACoF, and this novel just sets that up.

This was a great little read. Some quite neat links and mentions:

Like the local bar cook being hacked off at the First Order for shooting up Maz's castle.

But best of all was the inclusion of "Hondo Ohnaka Transport Solutions"

It's also a quality volume. Great cover illustration, feels nice to read.

 

Got around to reading the book this weekend and I agree with the above sentiments: it’s a cute read, but not quite on par with Lost Stars.

The battle that breaks out over BSO at the end of the epilogue is most likely the same one park guests will see (take part in?) in the upcoming ‘Rise of the Resistance’ ride, right?

 

Just grabbed the Kindle version for myself. Note: I'm seeing conflicting reports on whether Canada residents are able to take advantage of this freebie, as well.
