Guinness beer...................overrated!

Becks and Fosters are good beers.

 

I've never been too fond of Guinness, or stouts in general. I'm more of an ale man.

Although Irish Car Bombs are a great way to get hammered in a hurry.

 

Irish Car Bombs are for 21 year olds who have no idea what to order and just want to get blitzed.

Isn't that kind of like saying "Jack Daniels is not liquor, it's whiskey"? That is to say, completely false and misleading?

stout is beer. dark beer

Toohey's is Australian for beer.

 

Stout is a type of ale. Beer can be broken into two categories, which refer to the type of yeast used:

Ales-top fermenting yeast (ie start at the top and work their way down)
Lagers-bottom fermenting yeast (ie start at the bottom and work their way up)

Ales include bitter, brown ale, stout, porter, wheat (both Belgian and Bavarian style).
Lagers include pilsner/pils, oktoberfest, helles

As for Guiness, I find it best served extra cold. Don't like stuff warm.

 

It's mostly because "Guinness Beer" sounds ridiculous...

 

Becks isn't bad, I'd take it any day over Heineken. But there are so many better beers around, on both sides of the Atlantic.

Premium 5% Heinekken is the drink of Gods. If it weren't so expensive (£3.10 a pint at my local) then I'd drink it all the time. In other news, I tried Kronenberg on Tuesday. That was a nice pint, cheap too.

 

I agree with Yankee (again) and NewYorkJedi. Miller High Life is... awful.

 

But Miller High Life comes in cool bottles.

 

I thought the same thing when I was bowling and they had bottles of Bud Light, shaped like bowling pins. The novelty wore off quickly.
