    Many names.. One world.

    Had Abbadon is mentioned in the POTJ sourcebook as mythical world of the pre-republic past.

    I believe it is the earliest name of Coruscant, when the Zhell had built their cities and made war with the Taung. Dha Wherda Verda happened.

    Had Abbadon was citycovered and had a volcanic underground.

    Dha Wherda Verda had volcano errupt and cities destroyed, clouds of ash filling the sky.

    Coruscant was named Coruscant because it resembled corusca gemmes from Yavin, glowing like a jewel with its city seen from space.

    It must have had a name before that, before mankind discovered Yavin IV, before the Taung left, before Dha Wherda Verda. A Zhell or maybe a Taung name for their world.

    Unknown to date, I propose this is HAD ABBADON. not only fits it the descrptions, but also the mythological aspect associated with it. in addition to that, the name reminds to the verb "to abadon" which fits the taung, who left after the devastating war, becoming the mandalorians.

    Had Abbadon has a paradise moon like Coruscant has Hesperidium.

    Coruscants huge underground caverns that contain the oceans (see LOTJ #3) might be former volcanic caves.

    Many more facts support this, aside from the early script stuff of George Lucas.

    Thoughts?

    Abaddon

    A Hebrew word signifying:

    ruin, destruction (Job 31:12);
    place of destruction; the Abyss, realm of the dead (Job 26:6; Proverbs 15:11);
    it occurs personified (Apocalypse 9:11) as Abaddon and is rendered in Greek by Apollyon, denoting the angel-prince of hell, the minister of death and author of havoc on earth. The Vulgate renders the Greek Apollyon by the Latin Exterminans (that is, "Destroyer"). The identity of Abaddon with Asmodeus, the demon of impurity, has been asserted, but not proved.
    In Job 26:6, and Proverbs 15:11, the word occurs in conjunction with Sheol.

    Sounds more like a Sith world to me.

    At the time Dha Werda Verda happened, Coruscant wasn't yet city-covered. Also, it was known as Coruscant since at least 100,000 BBY, when they didn't even leave their solary system until a few centuries before the Republic was established.

    That's probably on purpose since GL originally wanted Had Abaddon to be the Empire's capital.

    As for Coruscant, it isn't named after corusca gems.

    Coruscant
