He could have destroyed the death star while he was there, but he found the officers club and decided to have a drink or 6 instead.

And then he cut off Motti's arm. For old time's sake, you know.

Well i read the Last of the Jedi book series (i know, i know, not canon), and even though Obi-Wan never stepped on the Death Star before ANH, by the end Ferus did witness an entire asteroid getting blown up (DS prototype anyone?), and he did go back and told Obi-Wan all about it.

My point is, while he hadnt set foot on it, Obi-Wan might have known what it was when he layed eyes on it and that's why he told Han to turn around and knew the Empire had destroyed Alderaan.

BTW last few posts = [face_laugh]

    Not canon?

And Obi-Wan's knowledge could end up being due to something in the CW cartoon... [face_whistling]

Veloz: LoTJ, sadly, is indeed canon.

"When I left you, I was but the learner. Now I am the master."

Vader wasn't referring to being Obi Wan's Padawan at this time, as he had attained the rank of Jedi. However he was referring to the schooling Obi Wan gave him, and that he would in turn give Obi Wan... ;0) *jokes*

I would imagine Obi Wan's "look of recognition" upon seeing the Death Star would have been more akin to "Wholly shyte, there's a big bleedin' Imperial Battlestation.." As opposed to, something he wouldn't have mentioned knowing about in 20 years...

All jokes aside, I remember seeing these movies for the first time when I was 5 years old and understanding what was being implied with these lines... What is with this thread?

Come back to get his Vader's face. And Obi-wan is able to read schematics. He WAS a general.

When he said you should not have come back it was in reference to Kenobi's sudden re-emergence.

I think the Vader "You should not have come back" line refurse to the fact that Obi-Wan shouldn't fight Vader again. Not the fact it took place on the DS.

Yep, Vader was speaking far more generally. It was basically the equivalent of "You should have stayed in whatever cave you were hiding in."

I'm guessing LotJ means Last of the Jedi which is a young reader series that mainly focuses on Ferus Olin but features Obi-Wan in some of the earlier books.

No. However he is Obi-Wan. He can get out of anything. Look at Utapau.

I don't think Obi-Wan was on the Death Star before Star Wars, but if you give her a few weeks I'm sure Karen Traviss will work Boba Fett on there somehow...
