idek why, But I just LOVE talking about hair, so I gotta post some of my own faves.


This Guy has got great hair, Actually reminds me a bit of my Dad's hair, lol! We don't usually see dreadlocks in GFFA, well there is Chirrut, but he's pretty much the only one.




Kylo's hair, beautiful as ever.

Her hair is amazing, one of my favorites of all.

Only seriously old school posters will remember what I'm talking about. I used to post years ago back when a thread on sideburns could be considered trouble. Back during the PT days, when the mods were all a bit like Palpatine.

 

Anakin had some pretty gnarly sideburns. Also, frontburns. The burns were all over really, now that I think about it.

leia's bespin gown braids is my personal fave of all her looks (out of all the characters she hands down owns best hair of all the movies; she set the bar at a level no one can ever begin to reach)

Ok like I realize that this is a really old Post but WHY THE HECK HAVE I NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE?! ...so here I am shrieking, crying and hyperventilating out of love for a video that was posted 3 years ago. And probably concerning my family. So thanks for that, I guess...

Would "Hair to the Empire" be a good title for an essay on Imperial hair and beards in Star Wars?

 

The making of the Phantom Menace movie has a scene devoted to Ewan getting his "thick highland hair" cut. Then Katie Lucas swoops in to save a piece of his hair. Ew. GL does go into the symbolic meaning of the padawan rat tail.

 

It's hard to find a picture of Wedge Antilles without a helmet on, but Denis Lawson has the most beautiful, deep brown hair (or did back then). It's described pretty well in 'Starfighters of Adumar':
"Other ladies had been charmed by his hair - it was worn short, but as long as military regulations allowed, and was the sort of fine hair that stirred in any breeze and invited ladies' hands to run through it."

For visual, you'll jusr have to make do with my slightly blurry avatar.

 

Underrated hair. Obi-Wan's mullet and beard combo is kinda fire.



Anyway, daily reminder that Anakin's locks changed the long male hair game forever:

 

I've tried to grow out my hair like Anakin but I just end up looking like I just woke up.

 

This always made me laugh. Wasn't there an actual story behind this, where some guy had to ask his mother why she had a picture of Ewan as Obi-Wan but she did actually think it was a photo of Jesus? I vaguely remember something, but I can't remember if it was just a meme, hoax or genuine story lol

 

Even more funny if you consider that the video itself was posted online on sw.com somewhere in 2004. So its 15 years old

LOL! I was 17 when it was released. It was part of the webdoc marketing during the production time of Episode III. First released in HQ (not HD) on the sw.com Hyperspace membership page. Hyperspace was a feature on sw.com where you had to pay some money (dont remember how much) and had some extra and exclusive content.

 

I think the Episode III documentaries also mention that his long hair was supposed to be for a ponytail, but Hayden didn't like how it felt so they just left it loose. Some of the 3D animatics for the Mustafar duel show Anakin with the ponytail.

And yes, Alec Guinness as Obi-Wan wore a hairpiece from the start.

From some Point I'd love to see him in Action with that hair. But I love his Ep III style!
