I'm working like a madman on my Barriss Offee costume. I ended up taking a week/week and a half long detour to finish up my pirate wench costume for a school themed day and managed to get myself behind.

So far, the skirt and top are done and I have several pairs of boots that I can potentially wear (thank the goddess for being a former horseback rider) and I finally gave up my search for the perfect fabric and got fabric for the cloak today. So, if all goes well, that will get done and I'll find a wide enough brown belt too before Halloween gets here. *crosses fingers*

Do you have any pictures from last year? Someone mentioned that the boots are really difficult to get right...

Anybody know a cheaper source for contact lenses? I'm trying to be Palpatine and between the makeup and the prices of fabrics, I can't afford to just shell out $70 for contacts.

yeah but i used vinyl boot tops that i made, i had some shoes that look like a riding boot because it has a strap on the top. find some brown boots on ebay, but this style of riding boots in particular is expensive as hell.

    These ones might work: http://www.coastalcontacts.com/show1fproduct.cfm?formkey=051017134644&ProductCode=SFX140

They are only $60....not much less, I know, but it's a bit cheaper than $70!
